"Well located guest house which is undergoing refurbishment so covered in scaffolding. My room was up several flights of stairs. Very convenient location. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast. Good value for Bristol and comfortable bed. Parking is awkward as the car park is small and the roads have restrictions."

"When I went to check in the person behind the counter told me I did not have a reservation. This then began a series of events that caused significant stress. My phone was out of power as was my lap top. I took my lap top to a neighboring hotel where I was able to see I DID have a reservation. That person was not there when I returned but check in was fine. When I eventually saw the person in question he said I must have made the reservation that day with no apology"

"Super comfortable room for our family of four. Delicious breakfast downstairs each morning with friendly staff. Conveniently located near Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. We highly recommend the free mayor’s tour of the city with knowledgeable guides that walk you all around the sites and up to the Royal Crescent. We also had a delicious dinner at The Architect restaurant. We recommend grabbing a pint at The Boater as well with a nice bear garden area to look out over the Pulteney Bridge. If you...

"Basic small room with ultra small ensuite on 2nd floor, no lift for heavy luggage. Bed reasonably comfortable although just big enough for two Adults. Sink in Ensuite barley big enough to wash hands and water pressure to high so splashes over floor. Just passable for an overnight stop, but would suggest a larger room if you value space to move freely. Breakfast brought to your room which was a bit of a squeeze but it was cooked well and was thoughly enjoyed."

"For: Genuine and friendly welcome. Room small but had everything needed - including a small fridge which is unusual and very welcome. Was clean and well stocked and serviced daily. "We returned to stay at the Old Stables again for a few days, coupled with a visit to Glastonbury and Wells. Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back!"

"Overall the property was in a great location.Flat was everything that you needed. Pity however that it was missing just a few little touches. A small bottle of milk would not have gone amiss. No salt and pepper. The TV remote control needs to be replaced. Control buttons not working . Could not get any BBC channels on free view . All small problems . The entry instructions were great and very clear. "
