Great walks from the door with neighbouring Kirkby Stephen easily accessed by foot path or car for shopping. Ample parking space that is easy to access. Quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay"

"We had a very pleasant stay here. The property is very well maintained, clean, has modern facilities, and is a good size for a family of four. Steve was very welcoming and the farm had plenty of animals with feeding opportunities. The converted barn is well located in the heart of Wensleydale, so is a great base for visiting the surrounding dales. Can definitely recommend it."

"We had a fabulous few days in a lovely cottage. It was situated opposite the village green and there was no problem with parking. There are 2 shops in the village which supplied all immediate needs. A special mention about the bread shop, Dales Bakery, which supplied a range of lovely breads as well as a good breakfast. Would certainly stay here again if we cam to Reeth in the future."

"We really couldn't fault this property. We stayed for celebrations for a joint 60th and 90th Birthday. All equipment was available to feed 12 adults for 3 days. Being able to walk on various routes straight from the house was fantastic. We were treated to 3days of glorious weather and spent most of our time(mainly eating!) outside in the lovely garden. Gas BBQ a real bonus. We also had the incredible Arora on the Saturday night. Totally amazing place at very respectable price. Thank You"

"What a lovely property! Located in a pretty little village with easy access to Kirkby Stephen. Had a lovely 60th birthday weekend for my dad with family coming from Scotland and York. So a perfect meet in the middle for us all. The only blip was that I assumed that there was WiFi so only brought activities for the children that required internet access and a music system that needed WiFi. "The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

"If you’re looking for a lovely quiet break out in the open countryside of County Durham, this is ideal. Also not far to explore places like Durham. Two bedrooms, each with en-suite suits a family group. Living room and kitchen are a good size with most of what you need (though note there is only a fridge - no freezer and no washing machine). Had a comfortable, quiet stay."
