A great value for money hotel, hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was excellent and the cooked breakfast also. A nice bar for a few relaxing drinks after a hard day on the Ben and would recommend this place to anyone.
We used Stronlossit Inn as our motel while in the Fort William area. The motel was clean, the grounds were attractive and well maintained, and the food in the restaurant was very good. The highlight of the motel was the staff. They all went overboard to be of assistance.

"A model of how to recover from an early problem."
Following an upsetting problem at check-in (the room booked, paid for, and confirmed 4 months ahead of arrival, and re-confirmed again the day before arrival but somehow double-booked and not available when we arrived), I have only good things to say about the way the hotel subsequently recovered our confidence and provided a really wonderful stay. An alternative room, albeit of a different type, was found and Jane, the manager, and all her team made us feel special and valued throughout our time there in all sorts of ways. The ambience, the food, the location, and the staff are all first rate. No hesitation at all in recommending. Really very good indeed.
"Outstanding cuisine, homely place with great views"
Stay here to get away from it all in the glens. This is a small, welcoming homely former hunting lodge with traditional bedrooms and furnishings which make you feel you could only be in Scotland. But it's the highly rated dining (overlooking Loch Lochy) that make this a great place to stop over. Michelin-recommended with prices to match but a gastronomic experience to remember.
My husband, my parents, and I chose this hotel because we wanted to stay in a "castle." It is a very stately home with a fascinating history. We were there on a Monday night and one of the few parties at the hotel. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had a wonderful supper in the restaurant downstairs, and a full breakfast there the next morning. The hotel had just had a very busy weekend (we had originally planned to stay there for the weekend but couldn't get a room) and it seemed the staff had recovered quickly; the hotel was very polished and put back together. My husband says its a hotel with the flavor of a B&B. Its pretty close to Edinburgh (we had a car), Rosslyn, and the bypass which makes it convenient for seeing that area of Scotland. I gave a four for "comfort of room" because the mattress was a bit hard. But the hotel opened around 2003 so all of the facilities are very modern.
