"I loved my room in the Stamford Plaza in Melbourne. It was nice and cozy, all the major amenities and even a spa bath! The bed and couch were both quite plush and comfy and the new 4k (i think) tv was a very nice touch. I think my only major issue regarding comfort was that no matter what i did to the air-conditioning the room temperature apparently never went above 20 degrees celsius. It was 13 degrees outside on my first night and i don't remember being particularly warm throughout the night...

"Gorgeous old hotel, magnificent room, really a suite, beautifully outfitted and furnished. However there was lots of noise intrusion from the trams outside, and the suite was not street adjacent. Minor downside and not the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was tasty either in room or in the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room was only serviced once in my 4 day stay despite having the service request sign on the door for 2 of those days."
