I stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is what you'd expect from a big 5-star place - big chandeliers, lots of marble finishes and bell boys who can't do enough to help. I didn't eat here as I found the prices on top of the room and wifi were too expensive but you're just a walk away from all the cafés on the south bank here and if you're up for a walk, head into the cbd to take your pick of great places in the lane ways. The gym is excellent and of you like your morning workouts, make sure you finish up with a dip in the pool and lay in the sunshine on the beautiful roof terrace.
The staff at the Hilton went way beyond my normal service expectations. the concierge service was great. They found exactly the places I needed to entertain business guests and also suggested great places where I could escape on my own. They also helped me out with a problem of my own making that might have caused me to miss my flight home.
I appreciated the call on the day before our arrival to confirm booking and arrival time. We were able to sort out parking and details of our arrival. On the day of arrival we were invited to make a call 10-15 mins before our arrival so that a porter could meet us at the door and take our luggage before parking. Great service. The room was perfect. Two bedrooms with very comfortable bedding. A small balcony that overlooked the main street was good too. It's nice to be open a door or window to the outside. Little kitchenette had everything we needed and more - great sized fridge without all the minibar stuff we never use. The rooftop pool was excellent. Great views over the city too. The hotel was reasonably new so everything was in top condition. Location was perfect- a couple of blocks to the mall. Would definitely stay again.
