GREAT HOTEL FOR THE MAGNIFICENT MILE

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: Shout out to Ryan Smith the night manager when I check in , he was on the phone for 45 mins when I had trouble with checking in. He was great.
Cons: I wished they had a coffee maker in the room and free internet in the rooms too. Internet was free in the lobby only.
If your into shopping or museums this is a great place to stay and recharge. Its near Giordano's Pizza yummmm, transit (#147 and #146), Macy's, The Art Institute, Navy Pier , Millenium Park and lots more. I was there mid February and there was a cold spell, but I still got to lots of places by walking or transit.

Really nice hotel located in downtown Chicago

Posted 21-Feb-2015
The hotel was very nice! My only complaint was its a bit pricey. The hotel itself was very reasonable. It was the amenities that were expensive. Parking was $60 per day. Wifi was $10 per day. My sone ordered a waffle & bacon from room service one morning (nothing else) & it was $25.

Great location and pleasant staff...

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: The friendliness of the staff
Cons: N/A
Location: Centrally located to all of the shopping centers on Michigan Ave.
Everything about this hotel was nice, however, it only comes with standup showers. Yet, the staff was courteous, there location is great and there rooms were well kept. I look forward to returning.

Good location

Posted 18-Feb-2015
The hotel is super conveniently located on the Mag Mile - making it easy to get to shopping and the museum/aquarium/planetarium. I think the hotel has a lot of character, but I don't understand why the lobby is on the second floor when really there's plenty of space on the first floor for the lobby. It also sucked that there was only free wi-fi on the second floor which meant that we had to go up and down from our room to the lobby every time we needed to use the wi-fi (otherwise we had to pay if we were using it from our room). The hotel offered complimentary coffee in the mornings, but it would have been nice if they offered hot water or tea as alternatives since not everyone drinks coffee.

Great location to the downtown attractions.

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: Very well run hotel in a superb and safe location in Downtown Chicago.
Cons: Nothing much at all, except perhaps to offer own coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Location: Great location in Downtown Chicago within walking distance to most amenities.
A very, very pleasant hotel with excellent service and amenities. Friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to help and assist. Very clean and very well managed hotel. The hotel restaurant was very good and the food menu and service was out of the top draw. I will most definately be staying there on my next trip to Chicago.

Very nicely located downtown hotel

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: Very nicely located in the middle of the magnificent mile of Chicago which allows you to hang around without needing to take expensive taxis.
Cons: to provide rooms with coffee makers, mini-refrigerators
Location: the location is wonderful, very practical for tourists, just few steps from "water tower shopping mall", the Egyptian consul and lots others.
Generally everything was ok at the hotel except the front desk promised to give us a nice room with a nice city view but for our bad surprise the room had an only little narrow window overlooking nothing but ugly backyard of the hotel and surrounding buildings! There's no any coffee maker in the room neither a mini-refrigerator!

Great Mag Mile step-off point

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: Friendly check-in staff, clean rooms (seemingly all with a view due to the buildings' open courtyard construction)
Cons: Could probably use an on-site restaurant, although it has a large room-service menu with prices comparable to nearby eateries
Well maintained older hotel steps (about 50) from the Mag Mile, across the street from the Apple Store, 1/2 block from Nike Town, 1 block from the Disney store... You get it... Great Location! Around-the-corner location from Michigan Av ensures quiet nights' sleep, even on the lower floors.

You get what you pay for.

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: walking distance to downtown night life. Friendly hotel staff. Cons: rooms are tiny, there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms, there is no coffee pot in the room, bathroom is Very Dated, there are no dressers in the room so you have no where to put your clothes, there is no continental breakfast, there is no shuttle service to the airport. If you stay at this hotel you're basically renting a small cube of space big enough for a bed and that's it!! Pay a little more $$ and opt for a nicer hotel with all the emenities that this place lacks.
