Very small rooms

Posted 23-Jul-2014
The staff was great, but the rooms are really small, and you can see trash bags for all the halls

Weird entrance

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: It is what it is.
Location: The location is very good. It is walking distance or a short cab ride from most attractions.
This hotel was difficult to maneuver around, literally. The check-in area is a congested mess. Our room was quiet & clean but lacking in simple amenities. We requested a view and did indeed get one of the fire escape. The staff we encountered were great, no complaints there.

Nice hotel in central downtown

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Staying here was great because we were close to everything in downtown and even when we needed to get to Hyde Park it was a relatively easy drive. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

visiting Chicago

Pros: The upgraded room and the location
Cons: We shouldn't have been put in a noisy room in the first place. It would be nice if the rooms had refrigerators.
Location: The location is perfect. It is on Michigan Ave. There is fabulous shopping and great restaurants within walking distance.
We decided to upgrade our room. We were given a room on the 20th floor. We could hear the water pipes clang all night, They upgraded us again the next and subsequent nights. That room was wonderful. The location is perfect.

Great old hotel!

Posted 20-Jul-2014
This hotel is classic Chicago. It is old, but it's owners have kept it looking great. The location is unbeatable! You are steps away from the magnificent mile, the loop, the university, the river, navy pier and the trains (subway, the L and Amtrak). It was clean and modern.

My Chicago vacation

Posted 15-Jul-2014
The hotel is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile. The check in process was simple. The staff was friendly. The few things that I did not like is that they did not offer free wifi, no pool, and no information packets for non natives on how to best get around Chicago. They were within walking distance of a lot of good restaurants and shopping. The rates were great also. I would stay here again, just for the location.

Excellent location.

The Warwick Allerton is a very well preserved and updated boutique hotel with a great location near all on the magnificant mile. As is typical of boutique hotels the rooms are somewhat smaller than those in modern chain hotels; however, the Warwick Allerton had a bathroom that was larger than expected. Good places to eat in the area as well. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for dining. Would recommend

Clean room close to the Mile

Clean and modernized room Close to the Magnificent Mile Only three elevators to service the entire hotel excluding two service elevators. Otherwise a great hotel and offered great value!
