Pros: We loved the historic charm and location.
The entire staff was friendly and helpful. They had our rooms ready early on day one and on day two stored our luggage so we could tour the city without dragging around our luggage before we had to catch our train.

Excelente ubicacion

Esta en una excelente ubicación inmejorable pero las habitaciones son muy pequeñas e incomodas. Tres elevadores insuficientes y viejos mal servicio. Todas las alfombras de los pasillos sucias y desgastadas.

Unsatisfactory Hotel

Posted 29-Jul-2015
Pros: Location was the only thing desirable of Warwick Allerton Hotel.
Cons: Drinking water in the room or hallway (Not ice-machine). Free wifi. Clean room and the hallways. Room set-up needs to be improved.
Location: Amazing location. Famous Deep-Dish pizza stores, Michigan Ave stores, Millenium park, Northwestern University Hospital, beaches
Room had an unpleasant odor throughout the stay and the room set-up was below par. Placement of TV relative to bed was horrendous (one can sprain their neck watching the TV ). No drinking water in the room. Uncomfortable bed and pillows led to poor sleep during the whole stay. Reception located on second floor accessed only through a set of elevators. Trash from the rooms remained in the hallway for upto 24 hours which led to an offensive smell in the hallway as well. Finally, paying for wifi in this day age in hotel industry is unheard off, even after paying I end up calling the customer service number because network connection continued to request for money.

Great Location and Reasonable Price

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is well maintained and clean.
Cons: The elevators were older and slower. Even though four and sometimes five were available during the day, I found myself waiting longer than I expected
Location: The location is on the Miracle Mile at the corner of Michigan and Huron. Most attractions in downtown Chicago were within walking distance.
I stayed at the Warwick Allerton for 3 nights in the middle of July. The location is on the Miracle Mile at the corner of Michigan and Huron. It was very easy to find and most major attractions in downtown Chicago were within walking distance. I found the front staff to be very friendly and helpful, and I was able to check into my room right away even though I arrived around noon. My room on the 20th floor was nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. Even though this hotel is older, it is well maintained, clean, and furnished in a modern style. The only comment I would add is that the elevators were older and slower. Even though four and sometimes five were available during the day, I usually found myself waiting longer for an elevator than I expected. If you are staying here, you should plan to add a few minutes to your transitions to make sure you are not late for appointments. Besides this, everything was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Friendly staff, location, clean & comfortable room
Cons: This is really minor, but the elevators temperatures were very warm.
Location: Navy Pier, Hancock Building, Camine's Restaurant, Harry Carey's Restaurants
We stayed at the hotel for one night and it was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The room was very comfortable and we had a view of Michigan Ave which was really nice. The location was perfect for all of the activities that we wanted to do and see. We were within short walking distance of Navy Pier, lots of shopping, great restaurants, and many other fun activities. The walk to Millennium Park, although a little longer, was very enjoyable as well I would definitely choose to stay at the hotel again in the future.

Great hotel right on the magnificent mile

Staff was helpful and friendly. Great hotel for our weekend stay in Chicago. The room was smaller than expected but it worked. It was walking distance to many resturants, shopping, and the navy pier. The feather pillows were amazing.
