Great location

Can't beat the location if this hotel. Right in the middle of all the action. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and elevators are quite small and hotel shows it's age. All in all, I would easily stay here again

Stay at Allerton Warwick

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly Great concierge service Good location
Cons: State that the size of the queen beds are only the size of a double bed room size (ie could not open drawers to put in clothes)
Location: central location
Clean and friendly...however we were charged for an upgrade to a queen sized bed...it was not a queen sized bed. It was a double...room was so small that I could not open drawers to put in my clothes (drawer hit the side of the bed) one chair...could not pass by my husband in the room without stepping aside...it was frustrating.. Concierge was excellent Good location....lots to see small congested elevators..long waits

Nice hotel right on Michigan Ave.

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Easy access to Navy Pier and Michigan Ave.
Historic, clean hotel, nice staff, quite rooms. I would stay again. The only negative is you have to pay to have wireless in your room.

Great inexpensive hotel on "magic mile"

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: Quiet hotel with attentive staff when needed, and friendly staff all the time.
Cons: Not from our experience. Very satisfied.
Location: Endless shopping and North beach on Lake Michigan within walking distance.
Unless you want or expect a 5 star hotel stay, this is a great place to stay on the magic mile for the cost. Stayed 6 nights in comfortable room and enjoy every moment. There are LOTS of restaurants to choose from within blocks so we did not eat in the hotel restaurant, which is adequate, at all. However, that just made eating more of adventure and enabled us to manage our eating budget too. Great price range of food places within mere blocks.

Good location. Staff were friendly but front door staff aloof. Wifi hit and miss in the room.

Location was great but room was tiny. There was not enough room to open two suitcases.

Great location

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Location location location
Cons: The elevators are SO small. You could barely fit more than 4 people in one.
Location: Its right on the mile so it is very close to all the great shopping. Walking distance to Navy Pier and the River Boat Cruises. Close to the red line.
This relatively basic vintage-esque boutique hotel was in a great location. We spent two days there and had no real problems.

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: We liked the location and staff.
Location: This hotel is walking distance to many attractions and the waterfront which is spectacular.
Room was attractive but small. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel was walking distance to many attractions in Chicago as well as restaurants.

Best hotel room ever.

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: The location was the best for shopping.
Cons: The worlds smallest elevators were confusing for most guest.
Location: This hotel is two blocks from the water tower with every high end shop you could want just outside your hotel.
My wife and I were in Chicago for two weeks and had a wonderful time in part because our room at the Allerton was so nice and peaceful, after a long day of sight seeing. We checked in kind of late because our train was an hour late arriving and there was an incredibly long line at the taxi stand so we walked from the depot. I had read on the reviews everyone said the location was excellent but the rooms were very small so I upgraded our room to a king room. When we checked in the very lovely lady at the front desk gave us a free upgrade to a 2 room suite king with an specular view on the miracle mile, it really made the trip special.
