“Great Location - Friendly People”
I just visited Chicago with my family for a fun filled weekend. The Knickerbocker is "old school", which is what we were seeking, not one of the new flair chain hotels. The location is simply awesome, 1/2 block from Michigan Avenue, 1 block from John Hancock Building, etc. Every staff person we spoke with was polite and friendly. Only two minor issues, the bathroom did not have a functing exhaust fan and the concierge was a little less than informed with regard to kid friendly dining options. All is all, it was a great stay and we recommend the Knickerbocker!
“My favorite Chicago hotel”
I love the friendly service at the Millenium Knickerbocker and the comfortable rooms. The food is very good, too. It is right on the Miracle Mile if you like to go shopping when you are in Chicago, and there are other good restaurants close by if you want to go out to dinner somewhere else. It is a luxury hotel so if you are counting your pennies, look elsewhere. I keep going back because I know I will get good service there.
“Great value for the money.”
The hotel and the service was exceptional. The location was great too.
“front desk could be friendlier”
it was fine...
“Great hotel!”
We had a great night at the Knickerbocker, very nice and fancy rooms that were perfectly clean. Charming old hotel in a great district in Chicago, highly recommended!
“great hotel”
The hotel was great, love hanging out on Michigan Ave. There was an incident Saturday night. A big group of kids running down Walton Ave, attacking taxi drivers, no one seemed to know what was happening. It was quite scary. I was afraid they were going to come for my purse, quick got in the hotel. This is the first I've seen of this, I guess it's called "wilding" you can't do much with a pack of 150 untamed kids. Anyway, scary. Not the hotels fault, I hope the city takes care of this, I'd hate to see Michigan Ave turn into a slum, which will happen it this behaviour keeps being permitted to happen in these tourist areas.
“Very Impressed !”
The Millenium Knockerbocker is a wonderfully located old world hotel with modern services and amenities. Staff is wonderful and rooms very comfortable. We had breakfast both in the restaurant and in the room and it was excellent and good value. Only complaint is $53 overnight parking for car which has nothing to do with the hotel but more with Chicago politics! Taxis are cheaper and plentiful so that would be the way to get around. We highly recommend this hotel.
“Beautiful rooms!”
Was a nice surprising blend of old and new. The amenities, fixtures, furnishings and decor in the rooms were just beautiful - modern, clean, nice!
“Great hotel”
Great hotel, great location.
“Nice stay”
Stay at Knickerbocker was pleasant and hotel was nice and nostalgic.
