“We'll Go Back”
The location of this hotel cannot be beat, just steps off Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive. It's within walking distance of wonderful shopping to the North of Wacker and great Chicago landmarks to the South. We opted for the "studio" because it's a slightly larger room. The "kitchenette" they mention is an area with a microwave and small refrigerator and a coffee pot. It was an extremely small room, so I can't imagine what the standard sized room is. However, it was nicely appointed, and a view from one of the windows was of the Chicago River looking west. It was a phenomenal view at night. The studios are in the upper floors where the hotel gets narrow and there were only 3 rooms on the entire floor. The hotel website said overnight parking was $29; when we got there they told us $39, but gave it to us for $29 since the website hadn't been changed.
“Great place, great spot”
The staff were super-friendly and professional, the wi-fi worked and they had public printers to print boarding passes which was great. The hotel is very beautiful, a mix of old-fashioned and the modern. The lobby is beautiful marble with brass and wood fixtures and trim. Very classic. The rooms are modern. The smallest rooms here are a little weird. There is a glass shelf sticking out of the wall in the bathroom uncomfortably close to the basin and the shower. I was constantly afraid I was going to hit it and break it. Not a good placement at all. The moral of this is: don't get the small rooms, get a bigger room if you can.
“Perfect location”
I loved this hotel. I found it was in an excellent location for going to Michigan Ave and all attractions in that direction and for going the opposite way into the 'Loop' and a really short walk to the nearest 'El' station where you can get to most places that are too far to walk to. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Italian reataurant within the hotel is really nice, relaxed atmosphere and good food. People are saying the rooms are small, but it was perfectly adequate for myself and my friend, you only need it to sleep in anyway. It was very comfortable. I think the only thing I missed was maybe a bath as there are only showers and good coffee and tea (I'm English, I like tea!). Having said that, the nearest deli with fresh coffee is just round the corner, so is not a big problem. This was a really memorable holiday, Chicago is a great city and I would definitely come back and would definitely be happy to stay in this hotel again.
“Chicago's Best Downtown Hotel Value in Historic Bldg”
This hotel was recommended by a local friend and is a real value. Updated and very nicely rennovated historic bldg overlooking the river and a few steps to all the key downtown sites. Small pristine rooms, very quiet and in a very secure building. I would absolutely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Chicago.
“Best location and price in Chicago”
Excellent location, with the riverwalk just a few steps and the Mag Mile just crossing a bridge. The person at check was very helpful and changed my room to one with a better view. Overall a great hotel not as expensive as the rest and with everything anyone could need. Good restaurants very near (Morton“s, Pizza, KFC, etc).
“Awesome view, great hotel”
Great hotel, yes the rooms are a little small in the tower, but the view and comfort make up for it. I will definetly stay there again.
“Perfect”
Great Service, location and an updated facility
“Excellent Location and wonderful service”
My boyfriend and I decided to spend the weekend in the big city. We wanted someplace with a central location close to all venue where we were seeing a concert and within walking distance to area museums and shopping. Club Quarters on Wacker at Michigan was an excellence choice. The location was amazing, directly accross from the newly constructed Trump Building and down the street from House of Blues and Marina City. We were able to walk to Grant Park, Millenium Park and shopped all along the Magnificant Mile. Our room (a Queen Suite) was perfect. Some of the reviews will tell you the rooms are small, but the suite was perfect. Queen Bed, Love seat, chart, television, small table/work area, Microwave, Sink, cabinets, and refrigerator. There was a closet and a nice bathroom. The room was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. My only complaint was the mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the pillows were extremely too soft. Otherwise, everything else was wonderful. The restuarant, Bella Bacino's served "Ok" pizza (I'm Italian, so I'm a bit partial to my mom's) but had a WONDERFUL breakfast. Best Omelette I've ever had. For business travellers or for couples looking for a prime location to spend a weekend in Chicago, I highly suggest this hotel.
