"Loved all the art! The kitchen was just like being at home. Lovely sunroom and courtyard area. The bed was super comfy and the claw foot bath/shower was novel. The cottage is in a great position for seafood restaurants and walks along the coast."

"The cottage is unspoiled, it has wonderful character and has been renovated without losing an authentic feel. The location is superb. We were able to see the sea from the bedrooms, and watch awesome sunsets from the garden. There were always parking spaces about thirty yards from the property. The cottage was very clean and had good facilities. The location would be hard to beat if you like the wild and 'real 'Cornwall. We had a super time, relaxing and chilled."

"Such a peaceful spot. We had breakfast outside each morning while listening to the birds and then spotted constellations in the properly dark night sky. The cottage was well equipped with lots of quirky details, just as the name suggests and the location was perfect for us - handy for visiting family. The welcome was really warm, too. It would be lovely to return one day. "

"My family and I enjoyed staying at this property - nice lay out so you all have your own little bit of space but nice big communal areas for spending time together - the hosts have left lots of condiments/cleaning products/utensils so you don’t need to buy/take lots of things with you - really pretty view. Sunsets are 10/10 and are visible from most of the house. The nearby beach has a lovely local/community feel to it. Overall - very happy with our stay"

"As travelers from Australia, we decided on a self contained old worker's cottage as a change from the ordinary motels. We were not disappointed. Although small ( or compact ), the house came with the mod cons we required. Whether summer holidaying or like us, travelling about Cornwall, the house is central to beaches, shops, transport and restaurants and tourist spots."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The views are stunning and the cottage is very well equipped. The decking is a lovely sun trap and the garden is private. We had a small dog and , whilst the garden is mostly fenced, we kept her on a really long lead as there were some gaps she could have slipped through. The cottage was very clean and Simon, our host, was super helpful and responsive with any queries. Mousehole has some fantastic restaurants, 2 Fore Street being our favourite. Well worth a visit if...

"We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage, and it was everything we wanted. It's away from everything, but only a short journey to Perranporth, and the location is ideal for exploring Cornwall. it was a home from home, and Sue was great .. she was there as soon as we arrived to show us around, and just a message away if we needed anything. We would highly recommend a stay here if you like to 'get away from it all's, but also want to explore what's around. We will definitely be back !"

"So pleased Thalassa was available, just our thing. Felt like we were staying at a kindly relative's house rather than your standard slick rental (in a good way). Walked, feasted locally, played board games. So busy in the day and so tired at night that teenagers didn't complain about lack of wifi, fantastic! Mobile signal was excellent. Thank you Simon for being so very flexible to our needs (moving dates around) you are a great host."

"The cottage is excellent, clean, convenient and has everything you will need. Penryn is quiet, so it’s a trip in to Truro or Falmouth for entertainment, but the buses are excellent. A great place to stay and explore Cornwall."
