“Exceptional service”
I can't possibly say enough about this resort. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The staff is incredible, the room beautiful, the food was abundant with great variety. 24 hour room service was wonderful. Great resort...I will be back !!!
“The Best in Cancun”
The hotel is on a beautiful beach. The workers are really friendly and helpful. The only set back is the food. The restaurants can use some help, it would be helpful if they changed their menu.
“Honeymoon Heaven”
We couldn't be more satisfied with our stay at The Royal. The service was absolutely superior. The level of cleanliness at the hotel was immaculate...which is always an issue when you're married to a neat freak. They really care about keeping this place clean. The location is ideal as well. It's located in the center of the hotel strip which allows you the choice to walk to a variety of stores and malls. But, we found little motivation to leave The Royal due to it's variety of restaraunts and ridiculously large pool. And, the pool is something to behold. There's something to be said about lounging around a pool all day while the staff brings you drinks and cleans your sunglasses. Even better, when you get bored of the pool, you can simply walk over to the beach and hang out there. When you add in all of these amenties, The Royal starts to become sort of it's own little insulated world inside of Cancun. Regardless, after reading most of the reviews for this hotel(and most all inclusives) before choosing it, I was a little concerned about the quality of the food. I'm here to report that the food was much better than I ever expected. We ate well...and often. Further, no one bothered us even once about the timeshare "hard sell" I've read about in previous reviews. In fact, we didn't experience one negative I read about in the previous reviews. The whole experience was exactly what I(we) wanted. We're going back...the only question is how soon. It's that good.
“Beautiful restort, terrible customer service, constantly badgering you for timeshare meetings”
The resort grounds are beautiful, the hotel room is comfortable. The housekeeping is great, as are the bartenders at the pool swim up bar, and the cabana servers. The concierge, room check in, restaurant servers, lobby bartenders, are all disinterested in providing service. Every time we walked through the hotel we had to stare at the floor to avoid eye contact with anyone who worked in the lobby, or along the desks going to your rooms, or lobby bar, or restaurant, as they would badger/bug the living you know what out of you for their timeshare meetings. They even called my room 3 times, once at 11:30pm at night to see if I would like to schedule a 90 minute meeting. Everytime an employee talked to you they were trying and very pushily to upsell dinners, white party (lame), beach party (even lamer), and lobster jazz night on beach. We did not sign up for these and thank goodness there were only like 8-12 people total at all these events, we could count from our balcony. Also the food....it is not good...with the exception of breakfast at Spice. This is not an American 4-5 Star resort. Its what we is the USA would call 2-3 star cutomer service. We were tipping everyone generously at the restaurants, and still received poor service. The grounds are 5 star, service, food is not. All the USA guests pretty much agreed. Would not stay again.
“Treated like royality.”
This resort was great, the beach was fabulous, food wonderful, and staff was exceptional.
“One of the best”
The hotel is in a dynamic location basically along the main strip of Cancun. The room is superior which includes top shelf liquor, jacuzzi, comfortable king size bed, room service 24 hrs daily and ocean view on balcony. The only negatives is the food and alcoholic drinks. Asiana is the best restaurant for dinner, Pelicanos for lunch and for breakfast Spice was pretty tasty including the waffles. The staff were polite but the members would ask you to do a tour but they needed your dob and credit card which I thought was not necessary for a tour.
“Impressie”
A great place for young people that really love the beach. All inclusive covers almost everything, food is very good, wines and liquors are top level, and the employees will spoil you rotten.
“The Best Hotel in Cancun”
I never ever write reviews on anything but just had to say some things about the Royal. I have been to Cancun 6 times and have stayed in nothing less than a 4 star hotel!! This hotel puts them all to shame!! Even the one that I stayed in that was on the travel channel!!!! The people and service make this hotel what it is, 5 star all they way!!! I have no idea how they get all, and I mean all of there people to treat you so well!!!! You are a rock star when you are there. Just wanted to thank Diaz, Elosia, Clemente, Nacho, Ivan and everyone else for making our 15th anniversary special. Love this hotel and will be back!!!!
“Exceptional service and accomadations, dissappointed in the food”
Wonderful time, definitely high on the list of all inclusive we’ve been to over the years. Service is outstanding, almost all employees being very polite and accomadating. The room was huge, beautifully decorated with great amenities, and of course, the ocean view from your private balcony. The beach is very wide, smooth sand, beautiful blue ocean, plenty of loungers and cabanas if you need shade. The pools are very nice also, but you have the towel game going on, so get up early if you want a certain spot. If not, there are still plenty of chairs for everyone. They have several beach parties with live music, dinner show and a DJ for dancing after eating. There is also nightly entertainment in the lobby up till about 11 pm. The only negatives were the buffet food not being kept hot enough and the lengthly process with checking in, trying to get you to upgrade and then steering you towards a time share representative when you are under the impression you are being escorted to your room. One other issue, but I think it may just be the time of year, the sun sets behind the building so the pool is in the shade as early as 2:30 in the afternoon. Then it gets a little chilly. You can always move down to the beach at that time, but the water was too rough for me to be able to take a dip whenever you wanted to cool off. The lobby is huge. with upholstered sofas and chairs spread around for relaxing and a bar for drinks. I would definitely recommend this resort.
“My favorite place to vacation!!”
I got married at The Royal Cancun on October 21st and it far exceeded all my expectations. It was my third visit to the property and it gets better each time. The rooms are gorgeous. The surroundings are gorgeous. The staff is SUPERB! I will never stay anywhere else while in Cancun and will stay at a Real Resort any time I can!
