Designed like a Mediterranean village facing the sea, Barcelo Costa Cancun All Inclusive offers 357 guestrooms and studios in five-to-seven-story buildings colored pale gray with white roofs and blue glass. Rooms include step-out balconies or patios with garden, pool, or ocean views. Studios include balconies or patios furnished with tables and chairs offering garden, pool, or ocean views. Flat-screen, 27-inch televisions have DVD players.

Cool, pale decor features white walls and ceilings, ivory-colored furniture, slate-colored tile floors with red-marble accents, pale-yellow bedspreads with terra-cotta-colored throw pillows, contemporary chrome floor lamps, and Mayan-inspired art on walls. Small bathrooms contain glassed-in stall showers (no tubs) and red-marble vanities. Ceiling fans offer a cooling alternative to rooms and studios' air conditioning.

“wasnt long enough”

Lucked out I think and had an amazing room with two decks with one of them being totaly private with a great view. food was just ok but Im not really in to the buffet style food. service was great and they took great care of us at the dinners. overall loved the place.

“Can't wait to return”

Barcelo costa cancun was great. The food was very tasty and the drinks were phenomenal. I would recommend this resort for anyone. There were equal number of teenagers as there were of adults. The resort was peaceful near the beach and pool. At the same times, the bars were fun and exciting. One thing everyone should note: Tipping will get you far. If you tip he maids, they will clean a lot better and offer extra towels and sheets. If you tip the bar tender, they will offer you better drinks. Enjoy your stay!

“had a blast”

5 days at the Barcelo Costa Cancun with my wife and 4 daughters was way to short. Dont know what anyone could say that was bad about this place. My wife and i did our thing while our teen daughters did theirs...we all felt safe...staff took good care of us...found plenty of food that we liked...and top shelf drinks! Beach is a little small but we never had a problem finding a place to relax. Shows at night were a little bland but that is all part of the experience. Rooms and staff were fantastic. For a normal family looking for a great get away with some pampering for a good price i say this is the place. I have stayed in more expensive resorts and i put this one at the top of my list. A great 4 star resort for a 4 star type family. See you again in a few months!!

“My favorite Cancun Hotel”

I really enjoy the Barcelo. The beach is calm you can actualy get in the water without being pushed by waves. The pool area was a nice place to mingle, although the MC or DJ at pool sometimes gets kind of annoying. I didn't really like the music at the pool, I wanted to hear more hip hop and less trance. However, there were two nights the hotel had NO hot water. Also there was one day they never replenished our refrigerator, and when I asked for them to fill it they said the service people had already passsed we must have had the do not distrub sign and if we wanted anything we would have to pay for it. Also one night I went to The City, I saw a friend from the hotel so I got next to him to take a picture and the MC or DJ from the pool kicked me off the step and said I couldn't stand there because I did not purchase my wrist band from him. I was only trying to take a quick picture and he still told me no.

Getting around

Don't settle for the first price on cabs, pizza, etc... always try to bargain with them they will lower the price

What to pack

Lots of Aloe vera and Sunblock, floats come in handy at the pool bring them with you they are expensive at the gift shop

“awesome trip!!!”

From the moment we arrived at the Barcelo Costa we were impressed! My husband and I travel every year and can honestly say that the Barcelo has spoiled us for any other hotel..the staff are FABULOUS!!..from the front desk to the maids , the girl who made our eggs any way we asked..the waitors Pepe, Alberto, the maitre'd in the evening at the buffet restauant..the whole experience was phenominal!The room was without a doubt the nicest room we have stayed in (and that includes a Sandals resort) the hammock on the deck was outstanding..Barcelo you may have made it impossible for us to stay anywhere else! Thank you!!

Area recommendations

We went almost every day on public transport... there are several places around the hotel accessable by bus..Market 28..Wal Mart (a must)..La Isla..the ferry right next door takes you to Isle of Women..

“Don,t trust in the photos”

If you take a best offer, maybe you can,t sleep. We take the offer and our rooms are in the ground level ; at 4:00 AM ypu cant sleep more, you can hear all the services noise and all the people starting the day. You have three restaurants and one buffet, we try to take reservations to the restaurants at 7:30 am and..... no have more space. Most of your days you can go to the buffet, and the quality of this food is not 100%. The beach its very small and near of this you have a big pier , watch with the boats.

EVERYONE SEEMS TO GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE YOU HAPPY WE SAW NO REASON TO BE AFRAID,ALL THE LOCALS WERE HELPFUL EXCEPT THE ONE BUSDRIVER WHO DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE US ALL THE WAY TO OUR STOP.WE LATER FOUND OUT THAT ONLY CERTAIN BUSES GO ALL THE WAY.IF YOU LIKE TO HAGLE WHEN YOU SHOP GO TO THE MARKET,YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST.THE FOOD IS GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE DESERTS WITCH ARE VERY BLAND.EVEN THEIR 70 DEGREE COLD FRONT BEAT THE HECK OUT OF THE 8 BOLOW ZERO WE CAME HOME TO DEFINETLY GO,YOU'LL HAVE FUN

“I Can't wait to go back and enjoy this hotel and the beach...”

We really enjoyed our stay at Barcelo, since the minute that we arrived until we left... the last day our flight didn't leave until 7:30 pm and Barcelo offer to keep our luggages in a secure place and we were able to continue using the facilitis until we were ready to leave to catch our flight. Area recommendations

I would take the pirate ship tour at night time is a good entertainment. I would recommend to go to Isla Mujeres which is beautiful. Also if you have tim go to Tulum.... At night time Carlos & Charlie is agreat family entertainmnt.... In general Cancun the hotel zone is quite safe and services are good...
