"It was fantastic! Honestly I cannot fault it, the only thing I’d suggest is a thin mattress topper so that you can’t feel the buttons on the mattress. Staff were lovely, everything in the room you could want. I appreciated the little bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, and bottles of water!"

"Had a great two nights stay...we were given a room upstairs at the back which was nice and quiet..the en suite was a little tight but clean...the bedroom was compact but nicely laid out...the range of teas/coffee including hot chocolate and biscuits are a lovely touch... bathroom range of soap/shampoo/lotions are of good quality...had a great stay.. will be back... "Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money."

The staff were friendly and efficient and not only seemed to really care about guests but also about each other - they appeared to have the right sort of rapport with each other, making everything run very smoothly."

"Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms."

"Lovely one night stop over at the Old Vine. We arrived on a sinday and decided to have a sunday roast in the restaurant. Highly recommended the restaurant, food and service was great. Staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We were shown up to our room and was supprised at how big it was. Very comfortable and perfect location for a stroll around the town and cathedral. Slight down side was noise fron delivery vehicles early morning but the hotel had provided ear plugs and they...

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."
