Excellent staff

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Overall the stay was very good with an excellent breakfast. We did have an issue with the sheets on the bed but the staff dealt with this very quickly and the there was a full apology in the morning. In my view things happen in life and it's how they are dealt with that counts. The Holiday Inn staff and management did a great job, and I will be staying again.

good for a short break!

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: If you want to stay in the city centre this hotel is ideal.
Cons: Although the breakfasts at this Holiday Inn are very good they are quite expensive. There are places nearby that are considerably cheaper.
Location: The Bullring shopping centre is only a few minutes walk down the road. There are several museums nearby to see.
We went to Birmingham for a short break and stayed at the Holiday Inn. This is situated very close to New Street rail station and the Bullring shopping centre. The room was very spacious and clean with a good television. We stayed on the second floor near the lifts and they made a deep rumbling noise in the room every few minutes! So its best not to have a room near the lifts.

Great central location

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Location Bright decor Cleanliness.
Cons: Quad glazing would keep noise levels down, but of course this requires major investment.
Location: Excellent restaurants and city centre attractions.
This hotel is well situated, the rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We didn't have any meals in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food. Because of its location, the noise from the surrounding area is very audible. I would recommend earplugs if you want a good nights sleep. The hotel does supply the standard foam ones if necessary.

Excellent city centre hotel

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Pros: Good central position so short walk to all amenities. very friendly staff. Clean room plus largest TV ever in hotel room. Efficient fast book out.
Cons: Can not be faulted. Will definitely use again. Top of our list for Birmingham.
Location: Everything is a short walk away. Theatres, Bullring shopping complex, China town, New street shopping and station.
Came to Birmingham for one over night to see a play. Hotel was a short distance from the main station & we were able to drop off luggage prior to booking in, leaving us free to sight see/shop. Returned to book in and freshen up before an evening meal at a nice restaurant 5 mins away, and to theatre again only a 5 min walk. Very comfortable quiet nights sleep (temperature controlled room). Book out took no time at all considering the number of guests and we will certainly put this hotel at the top of our list for the next time we go to Birmingham, late November.

Bright and Spacious

Posted 03-Jul-2014
Pros: Bright, fresh and convenient for the station and central facilities.
One night in Birmingham on business, arrived early but my room was ready. A bright and spacious room, ideal for working or watching the world cup on the large TV. Staff very helpful. A comfortable night's sleep in the giant bed and an extensive choice for breakfast. Refreshed and ready to go to a busy day's business.
