The whole hotel was neat and tidy with everything you would need for a great stay. The restaurant has a sea view and the food was perfect. The breakfast is a must a full help yourself buffet with everything you could possibly want and more! Also the hotel has a large car park. I highly recommend this place! "

"Rooms are quite small but well presented and comfortable. Very convenient location if you are traveling into or out of Portsmouth by sea. Great parking and excellent bar and fitness facilities."

"I enjoted my stay at the hotel. The old world experience of staying in a building that was built for people and not for profit was great. The room size was very generous and I felt comfortable. The fittings were all in good order and well maintained. The view of the roof immediately outside the window was not what I had hoped for but it did show that maintainence on the roof was needed. The small beech trees growing on the rafters needs urgent attention. The shower also needs a clear warning attached to it as the way the shower is plumbed the pressure in the pipes is not moderated by a thermostatic valve. This means that one minute the water temperature is ok but the next, the water is either scalding hot or freezing cold!! On balance, I would use the hotel again. It is a bastion against the intrusions of modern new buildings and needs preserving at all costs!!"

"From check in to check out, the service provided was excellent. The staff were ever helpful and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The food options ranged from exceptional restaurant to bar snacks, all of which were delicious. The ‘sports facilities’ were limited but more than adequate. Lovely walk around the estate. We will definitely return. "

"A great place to say close to the Historic Dockyard, Railway Station and Gunwhalf Quays, all the PublicRooms have been decorated and the breakfast is really good. The Staff are helpful and respectful. Only slight drawback is the standard bedrooms need upgrading."
