“I loved Husa Oriente”

The best hotel in Barcelona. Great location, just in the middle of the Rambla. Big rooms, great treatment from the steff. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

“Basic but good quality buget hotel on la rambla”

The hotel was desribed as a converted monastary. This seems probable basedon it's interior appearance. The rooms were basic but clean with pleanty of hot water. The small balconies overlook La rambla. Access to surrounding restaurants, shops and attraction ticket sales kiosks was outstanding. If I return to Barcelona and want good quality budget accommodation, I will definitely chose this hotel again.

“four nights on ramblas”

old worn hotel, very poor quality food and badly stained carpets on route to room. room ok , bathroom dated and smelly. service ok. value for money no. pita house opposite avoid, charged 48 euros for two beers and a half bottle of wine. quinze nits in square opposite great food and service and very cheap.also origins have great food and wines

“Nice hotel - Bad smell”

Stayed at the Husa Oriente for 4 nights and it is in a great location. But every day that we stayed for at the hotel there was an awful smell of sewage on the first floor where our room was. I reported this to the staff at reception who said it was being fixed but it was present in the corridors and stairwells for all of our stay. This really put me off the hotel and along with a very hard and uncomfortable bed was the low point to a nice stay that we had in Barcelona.

“the only advantage is the location”

expansive,old hotel,small room,uncomfortable,reception team wasnt nice and unpleasant,bad service,old shower in the room,stinky room the only advantage is the location of the hotel-on the rambla near the market

“Central location”

Located right on the busy Ramblas which is great for getting around and experiencing Barcelona. However there are people around even in the middle of the night so can be a bit noisy. We did manage to sleep though. Room fine but lacked a hotel directory so no phone number to call reception. Staff pleasant.

Area recommendations

Sagrada Familia is brilliant. Also other Gaudi places. Miro museum, Ramblas lively and interesting. Must buy hop on, hop off bus tickets. Can see the whole city and get to all atractions with the minimum of fuss.

Getting around

Hop on hop off buses brilliant way t get around. Not mega cheap but well worth it for hassle free access to all areas.

“Not Impressed.”

Great location right on La Ramblas. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Elevator did not work. In room safe out-of-order. Wifi spotty at best. The lobby and hallways show a lot of wear and tear.

“Nice Location, Friendly Staff, Noisy Traffic though, and beds are less than optimal”

The hotel was very conveniently located on La Rambla street, smack in the old town, close to everything we wanted to see. The staff were helpful and spoke excellent English, which helped us out a lot. One bad thing is the street traffic and pedestrian noises went on strong all night and didn't cease until near 5 am. The beds were less than optimal, but not unbearable, you might get a little sore in the morning. The bathtub looked like it's seen better days, which took away one's urge for a long soak, and opt for the shower instead. Wireless internet didn't work, the safe was locked by another guest, and not opened during our stay, mostly a temporary issue, says the staff.... Otherwise a great place.

“Great Las Ramblas location”

The only bad experience we had was the noise at night. Those people party till 6 in the morning & if your room faces the street it gets really loud! Other than that, it's a great location, walking distance to Barcelonetta and the main plaza.
