The hotel was a holiday in itself, an entire block turned into separate rooms. This means from the reception you walk through alleys and courtyards of the original streets to get to your room. These are beautiful with plants and shrubs everywhere and you feel you are walking in history.
The room was amazing, clean, comfortable and well taken care of by the maids. The rooftop pool was just right for a hot day with great views all around.
The staff were great and very helpful and I could not find anything to dislike and would recommend this place to anyone.
It is also based in the old part of the city so near all the major attractions and plenty of good places to eat. Turn left outside the Hotel and you are a short walk from a main carriageway. There you can get a bus to the main bus station and then a bus to Italica (Roman City Ruins). Also a short taxi ride to the main railway station for a day trip to Cordoba was just as easy.
My only regret was that I did not stay longer but I will certainly come back to this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel last week for 2 nights, it was very nice and comfortable. The rooms are on the upper floors and they have a sliding door which leads to a terrace (very cute to sit outside and relax). This hotel also has a rooftop pool which you can see exceptional views of the city including the Giralda Tower. Everyone was friendly, we wanted to get the mass schedules and the receptionist called the cathedral to get the times for us which was very helpful.
Had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel. Very clean & in a perfect location to see all the sites & visit all areas of Seville. Included continental breakfast on the roof terrace more than adequate to start the day. Would definitely stay here again.
Seville is a fascinating city. The Hotel Dona Maria is a gem. It is located right off the square of the Cathedral. It is so conveniently located that you don't need to take a taxi.
The staff was so helpful and courteous. They gave us suggestions for dinner and the flamenco show/dinner.
The only problem was finding the hotel. It is so difficult driving a car through the old part of the city, one way streets, pedestrian ways, etc. Once you find the hotel you are very pleased. This is the surprise of Seville!
When we arrived I had just realized I'd left my phone on the train so we were fairly stressed out. The hotel staff did everything they could do to help us and put us at ease. When we checked in we were given a complementary glass of sangria which although a small gesture, made us feel at home in the very welcoming reception area whilst we waited for our room to be made ready.
When we were shown our room we were very happy to be told we'd been upgraded to a deluxe room which as well as being very spacious was also beautifully decorated and had an enormous en-suite bathroom.

We had a car so arrived and parked outside hotel. After we checked in car was taken, by their staff to the car park (we had reserved a space beforehand). The hotel is located right in the heart of the old town so only 5 minute walk to cathedral, bull ring, etc. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The room we had did not have any outside windows and was on the central atrium, so the was a little noisy but as we did not spend a lot of time in the room this was not a problem. Breakfast on the outside patio was good and plentiful. View from the roof terrace is great, we did not eat at the restaurant as there are so many places to eat outside. Spent two nights at this hotel and would recommend for a short stay. When we were ready to check out, the car was returned to outside the hotel in about 5 minutes.
