“Great hotel in a great location”
We had a fantastic short break in Seville here. Great hotel with a very quirky layout. Service was great too with all the staff being really helpful. Possibly the narrowest bathroom I've ever seen but you got used to that...
“very good, well located, very unique”
very unique hotel very wll located in the touristic part of sevilla . its 11 house of the old jewish quarter that have been joined together into 100 hotel rooms . the life goes around a living room and bar with piano music in the evening where you can also navigate the internet
“interesting & ideal hotel”
Fantastic location, very close to excellent tapas bars, cathedral & alcazar. Really interesting hotel, with plenty of character, whilst maintaining high 4* standards. Somethig interesting round every corner of the hotel, a real insight into Moorish and 15C architecture - like something out of a filmset for the period. The staff were very friendly and all spoke good English - despite my determination to try Spanish!!. My only negative comments would be: it would be great to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room ( how we British love our early morning cup of tea!) and access to a pc to enable online check in for the return journeys/ access to e mails. We went very much out of seaon (November) and it was still great! The hotel breakfasts were excellent and the restaurant was great too - especially for a high quality meal when you were too tired to venture further ( we had been to Granada that day and only returned at 7:30pm). Especially good for an elderly mum and daughter trip as the location was central enough to be comfortable walking but not noisy enough to disturb our 11pm bed! We would love to return!
“Anon”
Outstanding hotel in a fabulous position. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Check out Vineria San Telmo (5 mins walk) for superb tapas - be warned though, the Tapa portions are big! Book as restaurant small and v popular.
“Characterful and great lication”
Beautiful courtyards and a great location on edge of Barrio Cruz. Long underground corridor linking rooms . Charming at first but would become tedious if staying longer than a couple of days. we stayed in 2 rooms due to minor maintenance problems - air conditioning and both were fine. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit
“Sleepless nights”
This hotel has a lot of appeal and many wonderful features. But this was spoiled by the lack of sound proofing, the terrible beds which woke you every time you moved and the noisy plumbing. We had 2 very poor nights' sleep. This may depend on what room you get, but ours was a corner ground floor room, with cobbled walkways outside our windows, with noise from luggage being pulled along with early arrivals or departures. Also noisy Americans, presumably still on US time, having load conversations outside our windows in the middle of the night. And the noise of the plumbing!
“Unusual hotel in a great location”
Beautiful hotel with coutyards full of plants and fountians very relaxing and cool. Hotel is spread out, you are given a map at reception of how to find your room! It is a series of very old buildings linked by underground passages. Room was a double and a good size with an excellent bathroom. Only downsid was no coffee making facilities. Good buffett breakfast with pleasent quick service. Staff very helpful and eficient especally for parking your car. Don't drive there unless you have to as it is on a one way narrow street. There is valet parking. Location is superb you ae very close to the Cathedral and Alcazabar by walking through the traffic free streets (except for mopeds) of the Jewish quarter. Good tapas bars nearby.
“Not convenience from Hotel Reception to Room”
I do believe the hotel service is OK , but with their pricing of their service like Free Wi-Fi and convenience from Receiption to Room is really not good.
“Extremely disappointed”
We visited the hotel in August, having stayed at the Casa de la Juderia in Cordoba, which was wonderful. On arrival we were shown to our room which was next to the swimming pool - room 99. That evening while having a bath I was aware that I could be seen in the bath from the people at the swimming pool walking past ,looking through a window above the bath and so my husband covered the window with a towel!! The shower then flooded over the floor and we asked to be moved. Eventually the next day the man on reception agreed that we could move and we moved to a room on the ground floor. Later in the day when we returned to the room we discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working and so that evening moved yet again. This time to a room at the far end of the hotel which entailed walking through the underground passages of the hotel!! While the small hotel in Cordoba was perfect for this querky type of hotel the larger Seville hotel was too big for the querkiness. The saving grace of the hotel was the superb food eaten in the courtyard. On checking out of the hotel we asked the same man on reception to call a cab and his response was there's a cab rank down the road!! Trundling down the road with suitcases and remembering the towel covering the window reminded us of hosteling days and not staying in a 4* hotel!! We will not return.
“Good but room for improvement”
The hotel is a 'rabbit warren' and not easy to find your room. Staff were not very helpful. Common complaint in Spain Because of one way narrow streets the hotel was not easy to find. Next time I would drop the car off at the airport on arrival in Seville and get a taxi or bus to the hotel The hotel location was good . Seville itself was very enjoyable.
