"Very quite location and walkable from the Salzburg station. There are also buses which which stops right opposite to the property. The check-in was smooth and lady at the front desk was very friendly and explained the city and made very useful recommendations for places to visit. The rooms were very clean and tidy. "This was a nice little family-run hotel. The reception was warm and welcoming. Room was a bit compact, but lacked for nothing in the essentials. Breakfast was decent and gluten-free products provided on request. I would happily stay in this characterful hotel again, so that’s as good a recommendation as you could ask for. "

"I adore Salzburg and the Salzkammergut Lakes region of Austria and this is my go to hotel whenever I'm in the area. Very friendly staff, a good breakfast buffet in the mornings and some excellent evening meals in the restaurant. It's approx 25 minutes to Salzburg by car, the lakes of Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Mondsee and Hintersee are all less than half an hour away and don't miss Plötz Wasserfall which is a mile and a half from the hotel. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"Clean and very comfortable bed. However the towels are old and realy outdated . Needs to have bathroom supllies plus no grabage containers. Other then these, it was great room and spent a very comfortable night in this hotel. "

"Stopped here as it was "near" (an hour away) to the Eagle's Nest which we were visiting the following day and one if the more reasonably priced hotels available at short notice (€148). Hotel setting is lovely, parking our car opposite by the park in which we had our evening meal from a Steak House restaurant on the corner. Room was large, clean, quite dated but fit the style of the hotel which is over 100 years old. Good choice of breakfast in the morning. No negatives to call really,...

"I recommend doing research before coming here. If you do not have a car, it will be hard for you to travel up to the hotel, if you do not like to walk. The restaurant is not open everyday. The spa was closed when we were there. The view is amazing and it’s quiet. It’s an old style hotel and it has a lot of history. If you are used to 5 star hotels like the Ritz, don’t come here. "
