“Hotel Wolf Dietrich”

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, and it was as good as the 1st time. The hotel is in a quiet location within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the old town. I would definetely recommend this Hotel. The only drwaback this time around was the poor rate of the pound against the Euro which made things astronomically expensive.

Fantastic hotel. Ideal location within walking distance of all sights and restuarants. Rooms are spacious, clean and the breakfast is simple but plentiful. Good choice of free DVD's from reception plus FREE cakes and tea/coffee everyday between 3.30pm and 6pm!! Fully recommend a stay at the hotel.

“Excellent”

Staff were helpful and efficient. Room and en-suite were a good size (no lift to the rooms in the adjacent building and no a/c, but were aware of this when booking). Nice quiet location other than early morning church bells. Wonderful breakfast and complimentary afternoon coffee and cake. Short walk to the river and the main drag. Spa pool is very small but does have a current generator so (one person) could use for exercise.

Excellent hotel - excellent facilities, good breakfast, excellent service and very attentive and kind staff. We stayed in the accommodation directly opposite the main hotel & reception - it was a hefty hike up a few flights of stairs - but quality and cleanliness of room - together with hotel facilties and competitve price was well worth a few stairs! Book this hotel now!

“A wonderful welcome.”

This hotel was central, well presented, in a quiet area but close to many restaurants and many tourist sites but most of all, the service was fantastic! The staff welcome was so warm and genuine and they were very knowledgable and had top recommendations on local restaurants and locales. The pool was lovely and very well kept as were the other spa facilities. The breakfast was delicious and was served with a smile. We enjoyed this hotel immensely. Well done to all!!

“Fantastic hotel”

We stayed in the Residenz, which is across the road from the main hotel. It's lovely and private, and very quiet (at least in January!) and while it's freezing outside, inside is warm and cosy, with feather duvets and a huge bed. The rooms are clean and well maintained, with a great shower and a beautiful view (if you're staying at the back of the Residenz, you get a lovely view of the mountain overlooking Salzburg) Breakfast is varied and delicious, with fresh fruit juice and all sorts of nice things to eat. And afternoon tea and cake is a lovely touch. The staff are courteous and go out of their way to help you, which really makes you feel welcome.

“Lovely quiet hotel with extremely helpful staff”

The hotel is situated on a quiet street within a five minute walk of the Old Town. We stayed in the Residenz opposite the main hotel, which was very comfortable, although it did not have a lift, which could be a problem if one was staying on the upper floors. The staff were all friendly and spoke good English. We received exceptional service from one staff member in particular, who sorted out a complex query with great efficiency. I would definitely recommend the Wolf Dietrich Hotel to anyone planning a holiday in Salzburg

“smaller is better!”

Spent 2 fantastic nights in Salzburg at the wolf dietrich. As a single female traveller cannot fault the service or attention I got there at the hotel. Better than the larger chains I was staying on my trip, with free wireless access available in the room. The free cake and coffee in the afternoon was a nice touch too. Room was a good size located in the main building. Great location just 5-10 minutes from the old town, and off another pedestrianised street with plenty of places to eat. Brilliant value. Already planning a trip back.

“Great hotel”

Have just returned from a 3 day trip to Salzburg and loved staying at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the room clean and comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the spa after a busy day sightseeing. We stayed in the Residenz across the road from the main reception and the lack of lift wasn't a problem as we needed the exercise to help burn off calories from all the delicious kuchen we ate!! Location is perfect-just a few minutes walk from all the main sights. Definietly get the Salzburg card as it saves so much money.
