"A very good hotel for staying on the front - great view from room. Whilst communal areas were tired - the rooms were to a modern standard. Great location with respect to old and new town. Underground Car parking within two minute walk from hotel."

"Apart from the mattress sounding like you were stepping on an elephant, the room was clean, modern and comfortable to stay in. You get a small body wash and shower gel product in the bathroom, but no hand soap, so bring your own. Bathroom was clean too."

"The property itself has clearly had some work done on it. The room was clean and well presented. Customer service could be improved upon. Breakfast was okay however, the gentleman taking orders was in his outdoor coat and on occasion not all breakfast was delivered to the table clearly forgotten about."

"First of all the important things- the staff went over and above at every turn and I would say faultless, the location couldn’t be better, you are literally on the sea front in the most beautiful part of Eastbourne, and the beds were very comfortable and bedding was spotless. However if you are looking for a beautifully decorated and lovely hotel, the Citrus is not for you. The rooms are nothing like they are on the website. I have never stayed in a backpackers hostel but if I did, I imagine it...

"Hotel is nicely situated for Rye and the surrounding area. Comfortable, friendly, and stayed for 3 nights. Food is good, and the breakfast sausages are exceptionally good! Looked forward to them! Evening meals are of good quality and quantity and discovered a really great lager that was new to me called Madri, which you might think is a Spanish lager, but it's, a joint venture and brewed in Tadcaster, Yorkshire! Would recommend the Hotel for a friendly, adequate and convenient place to stay....
