"Ballena Paridise is a well designed property. It is a spacious apartment. Property is very clean and well maintained. On arrival I was given a brief orientation and a set of keys and a remote for the gate. Loved the swimming pool and the beach is a couple of minutes walk from property. If you are a fellow journey person you will also appreciate this place."

He is responsive and helps you book and facilitate everything. The place is clean centeral and has the great vibe of staying with family. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. The coffee is divine. "Slightly remote lodge, with amazing ocean and jungle views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only restaurant served very good food, offers friendly service, with daily specials. The pool is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of wildlife are present, including a troop of Howler Monkeys that howl at 4 am and 4 pm everyday. There are lots of trails for people to explore. "We ended our first trip to Costa Rica, in Uvita, at Nature's Edge. We travelled the Pacific Coast, but it wasn't until we got to Uvita that we experienced the true jungle. Nature's Edge is tucked away about 2 miles up a steep road (you truly do need a 4x4 to access it, but we had a little AWD Suzuki, that we put in manual mode, and that did the trick just fine). Once you turn into the property you pass the first two casita's on your left, and if you're lucky, you booked one of the lower casitas...

"Exactly as advertised. We stayed in an AC room with 2 double beds and a large sliding glass door that opened to a little balcony. Lots of singing birds. Great value. The breakfast, served next door to the hotel for $8 per person, was truly excellent. "

Consider that car is necessary ideally 4x4 as all roads in area are dirt and not all are well maintained. Part of the beauty of the area. Restaurant at hotel is lovely with great selection. "It's a very nice location. A bit dated but has everything you need. Nice quiet cabanas that are clean and really decent sized. Pool area needs some upgrades. The 2 !!! sunning lounge chairs need to be junked. The restaurant and bar are very nice, and food is great. Breakfasts are top notch. Biggest complaint is the beds. Rock hard. Had terrible time sleeping. Couldn't wait to get home to my bed. We've stayed her two times this year and because of the beds it will be our last. "
