"Very pleasant one-night stay in Dartmoor. Lovely hosts. Major kitchen renovation was underway, so breakfast wasn't available during our stay. Several good options for meals right down the street. Room was very comfortable. Easy access to hiking trails right from town."

"This was perfect for me visiting family in Ashburton. It was easy to find and park. The staff were lovely and helpful when I checked in. It helped take the stress out of the logistics. They were also very accommodating when I had to change the dates initially. "

"I think I was expecting it to be more like a hotel than a pub with rooms but thats exactly what is so maybe my bad for not reading fully. The room was decorated beautifully and was very clean. Grear matress and pillows and the toiletries were super cute. My breakfast was amazing!!! "

"Quiet, spaceous room which was very clean. The pub served delicious food and there is a fabulous little cafe next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting family again. Exceptional value for money with a good breakfast included. Only slight niggle is that the pillows were thin and not supportive. One is not enough and two is too much. Perhaps they could invest in firmer support pillows and the score for this hidden gem would be 10/10."

"Lovely peaceful place. In beautiful surroundings. Very attentive helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Modern shower-room. Good wifi. Views of sheep and hills. Very close to Buckfast Abbey conference centre. They also have a courtesy minivan to collect from stations or give lifts if anyone wants a trip away without a car (but I didn't use that as I had my bike - which was accomodated nicely). Faultless. "One night business stay , clean compact, ideal as it’s in centre of town , ideal for food, all with walking distance etc, there is a car park in front of hotel very near, but has time restrictions, didn’t bother me as I was out before 8am For me breakfast was to late, but the landlady made me a take out as I wanted to be out earlier than they start breakfast , thank you "

"Driven past this hotel countless times & always thought that it looked like a lovely, well presented building. Thankfully thanks to Hotels.com I eventually stayed there last night & it didn’t disappoint. Everything was pretty much what I expected , couldn’t really fault it, except maybe for the £8.00 daily parking charge, I personally don’t think that residents should be charged this."

"We have stopped overnight at the Tradesmans arms in Scorriton before and have not been disappointed. The location is isolated in a delightful small village with stunning views. The accommodation, food and hospitality is really good. The atmosphere created by the many local residents when the pub is open supporting the business says it all. "

"An absolutely idyllic location to stay, although we didn’t get try the full menu. We had the wood fired pizza which was delicious. We were also treated to a session with local musician that come together regularly to practice. Massively talented musicians. Was an absolute pleasure to have experienced this little slice of heaven on earth. "
