"Hotel was convenient, close to airport with a shuttle to airport. Advert led me to believe shuttle was included but found out it wasn’t. Overall this hotel is a good value. Good clean room w comfortable bed, soft towels and good shades to keep the light out. Hotel is old but staff are nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent!"

"It’s a cheap room and really close to the airport. Right next door to the services that have most of what you need. Excellent shower. Had an issue with the room we were given but the staff were very helpful and moved us straight away. Would definately stay there again."

"From start to finish we were made welcome at The Essex. The staff were lovely and they genuinely engaged with my little granddaughter. They went the extra mile. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I liked the restaurant, you could have a full meal or lighter option and once again the staff were helpful and charming. "Stayed one night in a single room with a large single bed which was fantastic. Great room, great shower, and a cracking breakfast in the morning with fantastic service from the lady who had amazing stories about her life and family. "

"A lovely place to stay. Nice rooms, nice pub and nice food. Would certainly recommend those looking in the area. I attended a wedding at Braxted Park which was a short drive away but did not get a chance to check out the area around the property hence only average stars for that. Staff are very friendly too. Will certainly choose to stay here if in the area again. "
