"Elegant location with very comfortable bedroom and highly modernized bathroom. Pleasant view of the grounds. Entrance is via the East lodge to the left when facing the main entry. Uber does not exist in Oxford, but there are taxi services that can be called such as Royal taxi and 101 taxi."

"Overall our stay was great. We slept ok. Our room overlooked the garden and was comfortable and quiet. The only thing we didn’t like was that the room wasn’t serviced during our stay (4 nights). This meant that we ran out of milk sachets for coffee on our second day & they weren’t topped up. Had there been a mini fridge in the room, we could have bought a carton of milk from the supermarket & it would have kept fresh in the fridge. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sandford Lane Guest House. A very warm 'Bonjour' (correctly guessed based on my first name ;-) as welcome greeting, a nice room, spacious bathroom, a breakfast with homemade bread and honey amongst other items... Highly recommended!"

"Excellent service and friendly helpful staff. Excellent location, right next to the train station, plenty of free parking. Hotel was clean and warm despite it being freezing. Our room didn’t have an en suite and had to access our private bathroom across the corridor. Room was cosy, a little old fashion in decor but added to the charm. I would definitely return and recommend. "

"It was terrible mistake for me to choose this place, the service is daunting. When I checked in I found I had no bath towel in the room and bathroom is dirty. I tried to contact the service stuff for the towel for hundreds of times, nobody ever bothered to answer my calls. So if you don't want to be stranded in the room or find yourself in a bad situation and nobody there to help you, avoid this place! "
