Staff extremely polite and helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We often stay overnight in Oxford when going to the theatre there and will certainly stay again on out next visit.
The staff, the room, the facilities, the breakfast were all excellent and the Christmas decorations were enchanting.
I booked this room based on other reviewers' reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The booking was for a birthday getaway. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the station and 10 from the city. The family who run the B&B are very friendly and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable and we both had a great sleep. We made a few purchases and found that they were secure and safe enough to leave while we wondered around as well as being given a key to access the B&B at a late time of the day after we had made checkout. Breakfast was provided with fresh fruit, toast, croissants, pastry, cereal, juice, tea and coffee. We stayed in room two, which has it's own bathroom and faces the road. We found that there was a little bit of road noise but once on that comfortable bed we had no trouble sleeping.
I would highly recommend this place.
I was very impressed with everything in the hotel. There was nothing I could find that was disappointing! I was travelling alone and I felt very comfortable in the bar area where I ate my dinner. I also enjoyed that I could take a walk around the spacious grounds of the hotel and take in the view of the river. The surroundings are peaceful, private and pleasantly unassuming.
