This was the perfect overnight stop - excellent service and very clean, comfortable room. No noise disturbance at night, lots of space and a very atmospheric bar. I didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food, but would imagine it matches the other high standards.
Really nice little guest house about 5 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins from city centre. It was clean, comfortable and service was very friendly. I will most probably stay again next time were in Oxford. We even had our own parking space but next time were going on the train.
Lovely comfortable hotel, excellent
position and good parking. Appreciated the complimentary pod machine coffee in the attractive, tiny library. But most outstanding were the staff, everyone with whom we had contact was not just ordinarily welcoming, but also thoughtful, perceptive without being at all intrusive.
We had a nice large room. The hotel had a nice restaurant and a bar for more casual dining and drinking. The grounds were lovely, but it was too cool and rainy to enjoy them. You could walk to town or take a local bus. The breakfast room and the breakfast were very good.
I was very impressed with everything in the hotel. There was nothing I could find that was disappointing! I was travelling alone and I felt very comfortable in the bar area where I ate my dinner. I also enjoyed that I could take a walk around the spacious grounds of the hotel and take in the view of the river. The surroundings are peaceful, private and pleasantly unassuming.
