We had originally planned to stay only 4 nites at this hotel. Fortunately we extended out stay to 4 nites. The staff and owner Paolo, were wonderful, helping us to re-confirm flights and get train schedules . The buffet breakfast was carefully prepared by Paolo-s mother, a lovely lady and she definitely a gem!
We would like to say the location was great--easy to walk anywhere to shop, eat out or sightsee-the only drawback was the tour company the hotel is associated with and promotes. I had
put a deposit on a tour and the nite before I had to cancel due to a migraine-the company made me pay the whole amount, which I did not think was fair. Also, when we went on another tour with the same company, they wasted a lot of time getting prepared to leave from the train station, and did not have any change to give us when we paid the rest of our excursion. (not very well organized!) H. Mallory

This hotel was great for a two star. It had a breakfast included, but was very small. The walls also seemed VERY thin, you could hear anyone that was in the hallway but with the small amount of rooms that was okay. The staff was very nice and they provided cleaning services every day. Make sure you bring your own shampoo because theirs is interesting smelling. The location is great!

very simple (spartan, even), but really great location, staff, breakfast, internet connection, clean/comfortable/quiet room. Great bang for the buck. Awesome and super friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

This hotel was in a fantastic location, so close to everything. And the roof terrace makes this place special - go there with a relaxing glass of wine and enjoy the best view of the duomo. Just beautiful. In the afternoons, it was empty & so peaceful. Breakfast is ok, can't rave about the cappuccino out of a machine.

"Lovely boutique hotel - couples/friends/families."
While travelling around Europe for 2 weeks with a friend of mine, staying at 7 hotels in all, I found that this hotel most definitely gave the greatest value for money, the staff provided very helpful and friendly service, and to add to our fantastic experience here, we discovered that each room had beautiful, individually decorated rooms. Our room had one double bed, and two single beds on a mezzanine level - perfect for us, or for a family of four! The hotel is within 10 minutes' walk of the Uffizi Museum, Ponte Vecchio, Accademia Gallery (with Michaelangelo's 'David' and 'the Slaves') and Brunellesci's Dome at Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral - perfect for our needs. The only downside was the quality of coffee at breakfast, and I think the hotel would do well to invest in a decent coffee machine! However, coffee can be found in all the cafes situated nearby, and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We (2) stayed 5 nights in this hotel after trying two others. The location is perfect almost right on the Duomo. After one night we changed o a back facing room because of the noise from the street. The hotel is on the 3rd floor but there's an elevator. The room was relatively big, clean and was pleasant. The room was attended to on a daily basis. Since it was the beginning of October we didn't need the air condition so I can't comment on this.
The staff were very friendly and provided information that we asked for. Breakfast was continental, basic and modest.
