Was a very nice room and easy to come and go. However the fire alarm got pulled at 3am on my second last night there and not because of a fire. I then couldn't go back to bed and was super tired for my meetings the next day.

I thought the Fairmont in San Francisco was the best, but our Gold Suite at the Royal York put SF to shame. The suite, the exclusive lounge, the exclusive elevator — it was definitely worth the price. I can’t recall the last time I had a hotel room that made me want to stay inside all day, but this one did. Splurge and do it.

At check in I was told they had a room ready then while
Processing my credit card supposedly the room was taken by another agent!
We were given an assessable room in the second floor!! I wasn’t pleased. We were caught for time to get to the Coldplay concert so we took what they gave us. For $600/night not hat I expected

I enjoyed the personal touches, ambience the friendliness of staff and the opportunity to select pre breakfast items each morning. The location was quiet and close to shops and short drive to the lake.
I would love to visit again soon! Thank you to staff and our wonderful chefs for an excellent weekend.
