Fantastic food and overall ambience

Fantastic breakfast. Very full buffet breakfast plus a lovely chef behind the counter that you can actually talk to and order your own recipe of omelette.

We knew we wanted a room with a view when traveling to Wengen, in fact we reserved rooms with view for all out Switzerland trip. This was by far the best view for the whole trip. It is funny but I think the hotel actually undersold the view we were going to get from the Jungfrau View room. The room itself is perfectly fine, a little rustic, and there is no AC, but the view is FANTASTIC. Do yourself a favor and book this view, you will be happy you did. Breakfast was great and staff super friendly. Great location and facilities.

Beautiful Location, but the Property Needs Major Improvement The hotel has an amazing mountain location with beautiful surroundings, and the old building has a certain charm. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which was definitely a positive part of our stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and facilities was disappointing. One of the beds was broken, and the washroom had a terrible and persistent smell. The odor was so strong that we could hardly sleep at night. The building itself is quite old and appears to be poorly maintained, which affected the overall comfort of our stay. Overall, the location, breakfast, and friendly staff were excellent, but the maintenance and cleanliness issues—especially the broken bed and unpleasant washroom smell—need serious attention. With proper renovation and better maintenance, this could be a wonderful place to stay.

Although the room was ok the hotel overall was very dated! The restaurant was separately run from the hotel and the pool area while nicely located on the side of the lake was in need to maintenance and modernisation… I was very surprised that the hotels.com rating for this hotel was so high… at best this is a 3-star hotel… The staff were perfectly friendly and helpful, but there were not enough of them. You had to find the restaurant staff if you wanted a drink while sat by the pool area. We did eat in the restaurant on one night and although the food was good, it was expensive.. If you are used to a good standard of hotel on holiday, I would not recommend this one.
