Everything was great! Despite all the reviews, the food was AMAZING! The service great! The only thing i would make a note of was they have a bird named Coco and if she doesn’t like you, she’ll chase you! (First hand experience) but overall, 10/10 would recommend!!!

Great stay at Casona del Colegio. The hotel is beautiful and room was spacious and comfortable. But our room faced the street and despite being soundproof it was quite loud at night with party goers, shouting and music blaring (it’s not the quietest street in town). Even in the morning the city’s cleaning crew made lots of noise. We also had sporadic issues with no hot water and low water pressure. The staff were always incredibly kind and helpful though. Offered solutions like earplugs (which helped), changing rooms to a courtyard facing one and fixed the water immediately when we called

No hay palabras para describir la experiencia vivida. Empezando por el personal y atención VIP, realmente VIP. José, Damián, no los mencionó a todos porque no recuerdo sus nombres, pero todos fueron fantásticos, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. El lugar, la habitación, el servicio, hospitalidad, en general todo. Mis palabras no le hacen justicia al lugar. Solo puedo decir que es un 100% recomendado. Absolutely gorgeous property! The staff could not have been more attentive, kind and welcoming. The beach was clean and workers readily available to provide towels, drinks and snacks. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delightful with a variety of offerings daily. I can’t say enough good about Sofitel Baru. I can’t wait to come back!
