(339 reviews) Overall a good experience, but by any means a great experience. For a hotel with these ratings, the expectations are not met: none of the showers worked properly- one was leaking, the other one didn’t work. The room is market as it has a balcony with ocean view: that was true, as was ‘some’ ocean view, otherwise it was a lot of ‘roof view’ of the adjacent building. Some of staff members was trying to do their best (the valet team was fantastic as they have a very hard job to move the luggage up and down on a lot of stairs), but some of them just average not something expected from a hotel with such ratings … and rates (ie at check out they charged us one night more for the parking, the offer for transportation was just outrageous- ie 3 times the taxi rates for same type of car…). On the other hand, pleas do yourself a favor and don’t go to the hotel’s restaurant: the service is just bad and the food not so great either (at least for the expectation from a Michelin star restaurant). Let’s start with the reservation: we asked for dinner reservation, and they booked us at 8:00 pm, when the best time is 7:00 pm so you can enjoy the sunset- they didn’t mention / offer this, albeit the restaurant was half booked when we arrived. They asked for formal dressing: don’t worry - they do not reinforce: the people are showing up in T shirts and flip flops. (84 reviews) We knew parking and logistics of getting to and out of the property would be different. The front desk was good about being available via WhatsApp. We just couldn’t trust that our car would be ready at 3:30am so we left a day early to stay closer to the airport.
