8.6/10 Excellent! (660 reviews)
Hotel is great but I am leaving a poor Review purely with the fact being stranded in Dubai due to the war they are demanding payment and not following UAE law that they must provide accommodation for stranded tourists if they are unable to pay and the hotel manager was unhelpful and didn’t care

8.2/10 Very good! (407 reviews)
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The experience was everything I hoped it would be. My room was clean, modern, spacious, and offered beautiful views of the water that made waking up every morning a highlight of the trip. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping did a great job, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of fresh options to choose from each day. The staff was professional, welcoming, and always willing to help. The airport shuttle made getting to and from the hotel convenient, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxing from check-in to check-out. One area that could make the guest experience even better is the entertainment and activities. I understand that regional events and the ongoing conflict in the area may have affected operations, which is completely understandable. Even so, offering more on-site activities, live entertainment, cultural experiences, or organized guest events would add even more value for travelers who choose to spend time at the hotel. Overall, this was a memorable stay. Between the hospitality, the comfortable accommodations, the stunning beachfront views, and the peaceful atmosphere, I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Dubai. The experience was everything.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,284 reviews)
We stayed at Sofitel Dubai The Palm for 4 nights in August as a family of 5, with children aged 7, 14 and 17. We booked a 2-bedroom Family Apartment, which was spacious and worked well for five. However, it felt dated and would benefit from modernisation. The kitchen has a full-size fridge/freezer, washing machine and combination oven, but wasn’t well equipped for five. We had to request extra glasses and more clothes hangers. The hotel provided these promptly. There was no coffee machine, although one was brought to us when requested. The filtered water was only lukewarm, but the hotel supplied complimentary bottled water. We also found the beds quite firm, but a mattress topper was provided. The resort was very busy in August, with the pool and common areas feeling relatively small and limited loungers. We didn’t use the beach because of the heat, although it would be more enjoyable in cooler months. The buffet had a good selection and the Porterhouse steak restaurant was excellent. Half board and the dine-around option gave us plenty of choice. Drinks are expensive, with bottled water around £8–£10 per litre. Breakfast gets extremely busy, so arrive early if you prefer a calmer experience. Following a few issues, management kindly provided lounge access, which was much quieter and greatly improved our stay. The staff and management were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, I’d recommend it for a 3–4 night family stay at the right price as it’s a nice hotel.

Planning your Al Badayer ski holiday

How can I book the best ski holiday to Al Badayer in 2026/2027?

Search through alpine adventures on Expedia to plan your perfect snowy ski holiday in Al Badayer. Just choose your dates and see what’s available. You might prefer a hotel with a heated outdoor pool, or a private chalet for après ski parties; either way, use the property filters to your ideal match. If ski-in-ski-out is important, use the map view to find those idyllic slopeside properties.

How can I find cheap Al Badayer ski holidays?

Boot hire, lift passes, lessons: ski holidays can get pricey, quickly. To make your ski trip more affordable, book Al Badayer accommodation a little further from the lifts and go self-catering to cut back on eating out. Sort your search results by price to find options from £745. Prices and availability are subject to change. Additional terms may apply.

What should I consider when booking family ski holidays in Al Badayer?

Al Badayer is well set up for kids. For the teeniest ski-woks, day care in the snow is a blast. As they get older, they love whizzing around on the hill in ski school. Choose a hotel near the lifts and nursery slopes to save a whole lot of ski-carrying hassle in the mornings. With all that extra time and energy, you can take your sweet time to find a family-favourite bolthole on the mountain for hot chocolate with marshmallows ski breaks.
