The hotel is nothing like what’s described on Expedia. The buildings look old, and the rooms feel dusty and outdated. There are no real amenities in the room—just two glass bottles of water, and it’s unclear whether they’re being refilled or replaced. The “all‑inclusive” offering is also misleading. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch with the same menu every day. Dinner service is inconsistent; although the buffet was open on my arrival day (Sunday), it was closed the following evening. Guests are required to make reservations for dinner at one of the on‑site restaurants and reservations are difficult to secure due to constant “fully booked” notices on the website. On a positive note, the hotel’s beachfront location, along with the availability of chairs and umbrellas, made for a relaxing day by the water. The multiple pools were also a highlight. Those parts were enjoyable, but overall the stay did not match what was advertised.

Food was great great staff

Staff was amazing. I think they are the best part of this hotel. Multiple issues with room, changed three times. The first did not have the view that we PAID for, the second's shower overflowed into the bathroom, could not be fixed, the third room’s bed was not clean. We slept in urine and blood that was not ours. Needless to say, cleaning the bed was the least that they could do. This turned me off from this resort alone and for this, I will never return. The food was good, Portofino was amazing. Oceana was my favorite. While fried snapper is a must and the staff there were absolutely top tier. The coffee shop staff was awesome as well. Pool staff was fun. Only downside was housekeeping. Had to put in requests for towels daily, even after the room was cleaned. So please check the beds before getting in.

Best hotel in Cartagena

Everything was perfect ! Beautiful property. Just got a little taken back when they light up the candles in the evening with church music playing . Wasn’t expecting that

the staff is exepcional

It was a wonderful experience from the very beginning. It has a old world feel with new world vibe. It's very open, but at the same time, you feel the privacy. Very nice rooftop pool restaurant bar security checked upon you all the time staff checked on you all the time. I would highly recommend it's in the middle of everywhere. Most things in town are walking distance.
