I arrived early and was not able to get to my room until 3 pm though I kept asking front desk, I was told the room is being cleaned. I was so tired that I need a quick rest before going out. I was not even informed that the room was ready until I checked again for the 4 th time 10 mins before 3 pm so if you are desperate for a quick rest like me, go somewhere else. This hotel is a bit far from the airport and main attractions. I used Uber and spent $60-75 US dollar just for transportation. I think this hotel is more for business travelers than leisure travelers as I asked for some tours and they do not even have it nor know any travel agency to send me.

An excellent choice for people like me who prefers a quiet, not so crowded, luxury hotel. The room was large and well appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurants were outstanding. Will definitely come back again.

Wonderful hotel in UNBEATABLE location and service. All the reviews regarding the old European luxury feel are very true. Hotel is part of a huge mall building (Q Square) and also part of the Taipei Main Station underground. There are countless shops, convenient stores, and restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking distance. Service: EXCELLENT Upon arrival, the concierge and reception teams provided extra courteous and attentive service. We found the restaurant service to be outstanding as well later. Special shout out to front desk manager Chris and restaurant manager Ellen. Amenities: OK Hotel has a very simple gym located on 17th floor. There is also a lounge for guests on the top few executive floors. There is no swimming pool or spa. Rooms: Needs improvement. The BEST thing is the soundproofing. I see traffic on the street by the hotel but I don't hear it. My sister is extremely sensitive to noises, so we really liked this. We disliked the layout of the rooms with the vanity in the room and no separately enclosed bathroom. Plus the toilet room glass door is frosted but not the shower, doesn't make sense. There is also a soaking tub by the entrance. You can pull a curtain around the entire bathtub, shower and toilet area but it's awkward and takes up so much space when it can be improved by simply frosting the shower glass door enclosure. Also, it's difficult and confusing to control the lighting and the AI is not helpful, although it is cool

Propery lacked 5 star qualities in my opinion. - no moisturizing lotion - no free bottled water, only a pitcher that was filled daily - the room safe was tiny, it BARELY fit my 13" laptop diagonally and ended up scratching my laptop edges, this is a big deal to anyone who plans to lock a laptop like me - small bathroom vanity area, can only brush your teeth in this area. Lighting is also poor in the washroom. I had to go out into the hallway near a mirror to shave! Even that lighting was poor but better than the vanity area - no clock radio, sure we all have phones now but I'm used to glancing at a clock radio to see what time it is, not having to bring my phone to bed and leave it on and grab to check the time? - you get 2 fruit once, your first day only - slow wifi internet, also a big disappointment I've stayed at 5 star hotels in Taipei twice in a year before this trip and it had what this property did not give me. If any of these are important to you, I'd look at somewhere else. That's what I will be doing next time. - Nice, friendly staff. It's too bad otherwise.
