It was hard to sleep during the nights we stayed at the hotel as it no longer has air conditioning and the nights we stayed were hot. The room had a minimal ceiling fan that helped a little but not enough. The room was clean and the staff was helpful.

One of the better hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The shower head was a rainful, but actually with enough pressure to wash your hair which is a rarity. The bed was also incredibly comfortable as well as the pillows. The air conditioning was top notch as well. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend

The Clybaun Hotel is centrally located to enjoy the different neighborhoods of Galway. Great central spot for taking side trips. The room was large, beds were comfortable, and everything from the bathroom to the floors were very clean. Bring your swimsuit and workout clothes as they have a super nice pool and gym on the underground parking floor. They do support the local swim team, but you are well notified of the times they are there and it is easy to work around. They have a delicious breakfast that everyone will enjoy. This hotel also has a restaurant called the Courtyard that you should make a reservation before arriving - check photos to decide if you want in the enclosed courtyard or inside. The restaurant staff was thoughtful, knew the menu, and so good. We were able to make a reservation when we arrived at 6pm for 8:15pm, so it is worth asking. The staff throughout the hotel were professional and went that extra step to ensure our trip was going well. Easy check in and check out. HINT: 1) For Americans driving there - The Clybaun Hotel sign is as visible as the Courtyard sign. My husband and I thought there were two hotels next to each other meaning two parking areas. Nope, that is the Courtyard Restaurant. 2) You can self-park in the open-air parking lot around if the hotel and they have a below ground parking lot for free. For a new driver on the other side of the road, it can be tricky, but nice to have. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Our room was right over the gym - if you like loud music and constant thudding noises and being woken at 6:30 am then this is for you. Would not recommend at all- manager was unhelpful and staff clearly knew right away where our room was and what the thudding noises were without having to even think about it. Manager claims no one else has complained about this room. It’s AWFUL- stay away and do yourself a favor. There is nothing in Athenry - stay in the city if Galway and you will have a MUCH better vacation.

Great location with walking distance to all the sights and lots of options for meals. We had a great dinner at Spitjacks 1 block from the hotel. King John’s Castle was a 15 minute walk. The staff were great and accommodating. We had the family suite (room 306), which was very large and beds were comfortable (2 twin, 1 king). We opted for the breakfast in the morning, which was excellent ($19 euro for adults, $15 for kids). It was nice not having a breakfast buffet and the service was excellent. Parking was across the street with a discounted rate of $12 euro. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful quiet location near Williamstown. We had the place to ourselves. Spacious bedroom

I was disappointed in this B&B, and we cut our stay short. It looked nothing like the pictures on Hotels.com. The general building was dirty, and the room was clean, but the beds were old. The bathroom was newly renovated and nice. The room was ridiculously small for a three-person occupancy as it was billed.
