Fosen Romantic Holidays

When we arrived, we saw a staff member working on a laptop near the front desk. I told her my name and that we would like to check in. She crossly said, ‘Didn’t you get an email with your room number and key code?’ I had not looked because I did not realize there was contactless check-in and check-out. She could have been a little more polite and welcoming. The road in front of the hotel was completely torn up due to construction, so they did warn us about that. The room was on a mezzanine level so we had to drag our suitcases down from the 2nd floor if we wanted to use the elevator. The room was the tiniest one I have ever stayed in. There was one window way up high so you needed to stand on the bed to close the curtain. We barely had enough room to walk on either side of the bed. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the room was clean. Breakfast was served starting at 6:30 AM weekdays and was quite good. I would not stay there again due to the cramped quarters.
