I then spoke to someone at the front desk and he quoted me on a price and told me to just come down and recheck in and pay the next morning before 11am. I went down the next morning and the lady who helped me said that the system was charging me 30 dollars more because the person who helped me didn’t add certain fees up. She also said that he left a note about the price he gave me. She told me that she just needed supervisor approval to give it to me. She sounded confident that she would approve it since that was the rate offered to me. Well “G” came over (G was the name they gave me) and told me that she couldn’t honor the price because there was no proof. I told her that the lady helping me told me that John left a note. She said “you know I can listen to the call between you two” and I was like “and?” And she said “are you sure he quoted you on that price?” I said “really? You’re gonna question me even with note there?” So she told me to wait on the side while she went to listen to call. I was embarrassed and felt like I got put on timeout. So after 5 minutes I told the lady at front desk I would be checking out. I told them it’s disappointing how they treated me over 30 dollars when I would waste that and a lot more at the casino. Lol 10 minutes after I left G called me and said she would honor the price. I told her I had already checked out. She acted like she could care less. Super disappointed! (1,001 reviews) Arriving at the hotel was the least impressive but the hotel lobby was beautiful and the staff very helpful. Our vehicle was too tall for the garage, and staff made sure there was space for us outside the main lobby. The room was huge and the view amazing. Very roomy. From what I read the rooms were once time shares, so meant for longer stays. If you smoke there’s a huge outdoor area on the same level as the bar and indoor swimming pool, billiards room, TV room and Gym. The hotel gave off a sort of classic, well made feeling in comparison to the cookie cutter hotel chains. I’m not much of a gambler but if you are you do not need to go far find it. Hotel was great for walkability, near excellent restaurants and the River.
