Madrague de la Ville Romantic Holidays

We had a basic room that was still quite large. Excellent shower. There isn't a better location in Cassis...PERIOD! The staff at the restaurant downstairs were very friendly and the food was good. The breakfast at this hotel was excellent (and included with our stay). A shout out to LAURA on the front desk...when we arrived, the lift was temporarily out of service and she brought our bags up to our second floor room without hesitation. She was committed to us enjoying our stay.

We loved the hotel- from the gifts upon arrival, to the attentive parking attendants (who put cold water and charged our car at night) they were excellent. The hotel is gorgeous, our room was beautiful. We loved every minute of it. We dined twice- lunch and dinner and had delicious meals. My one constructive criticism was with the dinner we had- we had many servers but not one main server. We opted for the lovely dinner with the wine pairing and the food was delicious. But, I told the waiter I was milk and cream free (can only eat butter) I asked about the appetizer which was an artichoke and tomato dish and was emphatically told it had no cheese or milk products. It came with buffalo mozzarella and I could not eat it, and it was a main component of the dish. Because we had many staff, the communication was not great (especially for the rating of the restaurant). I think giving us a main server would be helpful for such an expensive meal. The young girl who served us every course did not speak a word of English so when she brought each dish, we could not communicate anything or ask anything. Since the main servers spoke english it seemed an odd choice to do it that way on such an elaborate meal. The more seasoned and professional waiter stopped by once but really did not circle back to us. I think some more training on the support wait staff and prioritizing the seasoned pro to give the overall service would be a better plan. We would love to stay with you again.

We loved this hotel! It was spacious and we truly enjoyed the balcony overlooking the port. Great views or the port and Notre Dame! The staff was very nice and helpful and the location is perfect.
