Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. One staff member was very unprofessional; he saw us lining up at the front desk and just ignored us until another staff told him to help us. Our room was very damp and it was uncomfortable to sleep in.

Excellent location, amenities, food and service. Nice, spacious rooms.

There was a lot of construction nearby which would start early and finish late some days, which created excessive noise, The apartment suite was very spacious and the views were amazing, we certainly appreciated the upgrade, but the lounge suite and dining room table chairs were stained and a bit tired looking, which made me feel uncomfortable to use, so tended to use the bedroom more for eating and relaxing.

The Grand Hyatt Singapore is conveniently located on Orchard Road and is generally well-maintained with plenty of excellent amenities. I especially enjoyed the wellness facilities and found the small garden with its water feature refreshing in the morning, though it became too hot and humid by the afternoon. However, the room was not well-cleaned when I first checked in, as I noticed some visible stains. Overall, it is a great property, but housekeeping attention to detail at arrival could be improved.

If cleanliness is important to you, definitely do not stay at this hotel. Our studio room was filthy. Dirt and dust along the skirting boards, the kettle was filthy, their was mould in several places in the shower recess, and the way the bed was presented in the placement of the doona gave the appearance that the previous guests had just moved out and left the bed unmade. The doona had an awful smell about it. We forfeited out stay and went elsewhere. The lobby staff were 'half interested' in that they didn't show any real concern. They just asked if we'd given housekeeping 'a chance to fix it'. There's proof they missed the point. DON'T present the room that way in the first place!!!! Incredibly disappointing as the reason we selected this hotel was because of the positive reviews. Still it was worthwhile test for our first stay as we're setting up a 4 day get-a-way as a reward for our 18 staff plus family for later in the year. This is one hotel we'll stay clear of.
