This has been one of the most pleasant stays. I have had in Cascais. The property was beautiful and our room was immaculate. The spa was a pleasant tree as was the bar and staff.

Pros: nice location with nice beaches around
Cons: not a 5* property but more 3-4*. Old property that makes you feel like you are in the 80’s. Staff were nice overall while doing the basics but service felt more like in a Bed & Breakfast with some sort unionised staff feeling rather than in a 5* hotel with proper attention, service and guest experience.
Room smelt humidity the whole time even with the window opened (3 days) and bathroom was really horrible and old and not cleaned thoroughly prior our check in (there was someone else’s hair in the shower).
No gym, no pool, no spa. I wonder how hotels get 5* and Relais & Chateaux rating nowadays.
Would not recommend overall.

You definitely cannot beat the location, it was magical. The pool was large and lots of chairs. The rooms were nice and clean and the cleaning ladies were by far the friendliest people at the hotel.
We were not greeted, we passed by staff constantly and they basically ignored us. They have a new team taking over the pool activities, it was their first week trying drinks, music and food by the pool. The workers were rude and did not care we were there.
Will we be back? I'm not sure if we will stay at this hotel, but we will be back to the same area, maybe give another hotel a try.
