This hotel is absolutely amazing. The beach is spectacular. We had a beautiful ocean view room. Room was spacious. They do not have smart TV but we were mostly outdoors anyway. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The only thing that needs some improvement is the dinner restaurant food. It was not very tasty. The Mediterranean beach restaurant had a fantastic hummus. Buffet breakfast in a palapa was OK but could also be improved for the price paid.

It’s the second time we stay at this location and its renovation definitely made it prettier and better. They definitely have some of the friendliest staff we’ve encountered at any of our travels: special mention to Pascual at the morning buffet and Abishair at the pool area. Everything is close by, yet very private at the same time, and there’s always enough space to wind down or have a rowdy time for everyone. Can’t wait to go back to this location.

The staff at check in and out could use some hospitality training - this is our 4th stay and this has never improved although overall service at the resort has significantly improved aside from this. The amenities and location are wonderful and it is a beautiful resort. The waiters at the beach were excellent as always and should be given a shout out including Victor, Juan and Edwin

We had a wonderful short stay at the Belmond Maroma to celebrate our engagement. The staff and their service were top notch. In particular, Emanuel took great care of us.
The spa was wonderful for both treatments and some time in the hot/cold plunges, steam and sauna. The restaurants were picturesque right on the beach - we particularly liked breakfast with the fresh juices of the day and daily changed pastries. The gym setup is excellent and the daily complimentary activities rounded out our stay.
From the arrival welcome ritual to the departure treats, the staff was unbelievably hospitable. They even made us custom hats that said fiance/fiancee!
We will definitely be back.
