Fiesta Island Pet-friendly Holidays

I got the fire pit room. Not worth the extra cost. The floor were not as clean upon arrival, the carpet seemed damp. Smell like animal urine in one spot. I wouldn’t book again. I was also hot with resort and parking fees upon arrival. Didnt expect that

The room itself was very nice. The staff were completely unhelpful (e.g., took 30 mins to get a wine opener, every time I called the front desk it was a long time before someone picked up, no valet there upon arrival, etc.). The drinks at the pool were overpriced and poor quality. Overall, compared to the price point we paid, the service level of the facility was not up to par.

Paradise

We had a slight delay when checking in but the staff made it right without us having to ask. The property is absolutely beautiful, clean and the amenities were great.

Great location, close to the ocean, good selection of breakfast items, helpful staff, and overall very convenient and pleasant stay.

Great price if you're in town for Del Mar. The hotel sits on the east side of the I-5 highway, so you're close to Del Mar beach (2 miles), without having to pay Del Mar beach hotel prices. The suites are roomy enough to accommodate travel with kids. The kitchenette is invaluable for the same reason, with fridge, microwave, stove top, plates, and silverware. The complimentary hot breakfast is good (eggs, bacon, waffle maker, etc.) and the hotel sits next to its sister property (Hilton Garden Inn) which has more dining options. There's a coffee roaster (Mostra) across the parking lot. The pool, hot tub, and fitness room are all adequate. The staff are friendly. The rooms are clean, although we found a tennis ball behind the foldout couch. All-in-all, we had a great stay for a great price, given our budget.
