Lake Dridzis Pet-friendly Holidays

Nice hotel, 1 minute walk from old city. Good breakfast. Good room. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately, there were several disappointing points to our stay. 1. No-one is at reception. An envelope is left with your instructions. Another guest let us in, showed us our envelope and explained the entry etc. Clearly guests are not considered important enough to warrant an employee at reception. 2. There is no elevator and we were on the third floor. It's not mentioned at all when selling you the room. 3. There was no airconditioning and the room was hot. A pedestal fan was provided. 4. The bed mattress was lumpy and IMO low quality. 5. Coffee making facilities were provided but if you are a black tea drinker you are out of luck. 6. There was no hot water on two occassions during our three day stay. 7. The shower is over the bath which has high sides and is difficult to climb in and out of. No non slip mats to assist either. At 70 years, the last thing you need is to take a fall trying to navigate the shower. Who even takes a bath these days? For these reasons we gave a low rating for this hotel despite its positive reviews.

Our check-in experience at Vilnius Grand Resort was pleasant, and the front office staff was welcoming and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room itself was quite outdated. We found cobwebs in the curtains, and every door squeaked loudly when opened or closed, giving the impression that maintenance has been overlooked. On our second day, our room lost electricity completely. Thankfully, the front desk handled the situation professionally and quickly moved us to another room, which we appreciated. Throughout the resort, it appeared that the restaurants, pool, and spa were understaffed. At the pool, I asked an employee how to get cold water from the shower, and instead of offering assistance, she simply said, "Just try," and walked away. It was disappointing and came across as dismissive. Breakfast offered a good variety of hot food, but the selection of fresh fruit was surprisingly limited. Overall, the staff at the front desk did their best to help whenever issues arose, but the property itself is in need of significant upgrades and better maintenance. With renovations, improved staffing, and more consistent customer service throughout the resort, Vilnius Grand Resort could provide a much better guest experience.

Breakfast only starts at 10am ! I had to go to a nearby supermarket to get a coffee, etc.

The hotel is beautiful! The lobby has a hand-painted ceiling, the restaurant is gorgeous, the staff could not be kinder or more accomofating. Staying there was a total delight!

It was very nice and air-conditioned room. Sofa bed was too short and no linen was available.
