Had an amazing overnight stay at Mar Hall for my wife’s 50th birthday. All staff couldn’t be nicer and the place was stunning.

Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was huge and very clean and comfortable with luxurious bathroom. Parking - despite single yellow lines you can park on the road at any time of the day. We managed to get one of the 2 spots on the driveway. Hotel is within walking distance of train station, cafes and shops.

The hotel itself needs some updating, our room had chipped paint and a faint smell of wet dog, the cleaners definitely did their best it's probably the carpets that need cleaning. The spa facilities were basic, the pool is a leisure centre pool, and it wasn't a relaxing experience we expected sadly, for example you take your shoes off and leave in a pile with everyone elses by the reception area like soft play, the lockers dont lock! The hotels in a good location though and staff are helpful and friendly but I wouldn't stay again.

In all areas the quality was high – housekeeping, food & drink, facilities and customer service. The staff have been well trained and consistently ‘live’ the Cameron House brand. The welcome was amazing, we turned up having toured The Highlands for a numbers of days, we were a bit ragged and therefore apologetic. The guy at the door, with a twinkle in his eye said: ‘don’t worry kid we get all sorts here’ – we felt instantly at home. The only downside was The Clubhouse. We booked in for dinner there on our first night but unfortunately the place lacked in the quality of service – maybe it was understaffed so we left. Returning to the main house site we went to the Cameron Grill which was excellent so all was well. This is why there is one star missing from our review which is a bit hard but correct. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Lovely overnight stay b&b . Included was 90mins in gym + 90mins in pool area. It was a beautiful day so we used outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Good breakfast choice. We were a bit disappointed with the evening restaurant menu so ate elsewhere.
