The hotel was generally clean and mostly well kept. Staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was freezing cold, we couldn't get in it, even in July/August heat.

Very nice location next to the chateau. The rooms are nice with a nice view. The food was disappointing. My lobster and avocado main course was some sliced lobster that was unseasoned, not even a bit of lemon or butter, on top a large dollop of plain avocado also unseasoned, topped with a bitter concoction of chickpea in an acidic sauce. The dish was bland and bitter at the same time and not enjoyable. Breakfast was also ok, a large buffet but again unseasoned eggs and potatoes - would just a tiny bit of salt hurt? Seems like basic cooking skills you’d expect anywhere, let alone a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately worst food we’ve had the whole trip. Stay for the rooms and location, not the food.
