Room nothing like photos. The two lanais were tiny, one with best view about ten inches by three feet size. Essentially ledges with railings. Bed was old. Suspicious stains on sheets. Bizarre bathroom arrangement with sliding plywood doors, no privacy due to a mysterious window. Shower water wet whole floor by toilet due to no real separation. Towels like large pieces of sandpaper. Breakfast buffet was small and desultory … in far too small a space. Staff very friendly but obviously aware of the difference between expectations and reality. Bizarre routines … waiting to check in had cold hand towel and little glass of guava juice thirst into hands without asking. Best thing about hotel is their social media camera work that cleverly presents a picture that does not really exist. Overall … poor, bizarre, not worth the money.

The hotel was perfectly situated opposite Waikiki beach and the rental of beach items well received as we spent most of our time there. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the staff are typically Hawai’i n in their laid back, kind and helpful approach. The aquarium and its upkeep in the lobby was an added bonus and the bar area a nice place to have a drink. Our room was large for myself and my two children aged 19/20. And I loved our balcony overlooking both the city, the beach and the beautiful misty mountains. If I had one issue it was the bar charges, inconsistent and one time charged $11 for one beer and then charged $38 for two beers. I always had the same drink but didn’t pick this up on my bank statements until I got home. So check what you are being charged. I loved the location, nearer the zoo end, as a bit quieter but with a 3-4 min walk you are into the main stretch. I would recommend the hotel to families and single travellers as there is enough going on at the hotel but it doesn’t feel like an 18-30 type place. I would sum it up as a modern, sophisticated beach side hotel with a lot going on if you choose. I wish we had more time there. The Hawaiian people are wonderful. I hope we’ll be back one day.

Towels were not always available at pool. Phones were not always working in the room . Confusion on check in and rates

Place is nice. Highlights: food buffet, pool options, room, and ocean views. Downside, other guest are rude/entitled, concierge was misleading with the excursions, highly disappointed in the recommendations.

Amazing staff in all department! Very attentive and very prompt. Everything is clean and beautifully decorated. Strong AC even in the hallway. The room is very spacious. Comfortable bed. Great location.

No coffee in the morning. No gym. Had to walk a few blocks to use shared gym. Mini split ac was not working properly. I reported it and they sent a tech to look at it and he was not able to repair. I was able to fix it by cleaning filter. Pool was down for a day.

This place is a hidden gem!! Tucked away in a beautiful town on a peaceful, serene bay with amazing staff!! Marissa was most helpful with recommendations that did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning.

A bit dated room but good location. Amenities are great and beach access was very close.
