Wonderful place to stay in Cortona Great breakfast

The hotel is located very near the autostrade and outside the walled city. Access is easy and direct. Staff were multi lingual and friendly. English was not a problem. Parking is free. Breakfast is served as a buffet and you do need to notify if you intend to partake. It is 13euros. There is a good variety, but it is the same every day. There is an espresso/coffee machine. Nothing available to order. Amenities. There aren’t any (like fitness room or pool). There are meeting rooms up from the lobby. The restaurant isn’t open beyond breakfast and they only offer the buffet. The bar is only open weekdays in the evening. There is a supermarket next door and a McDonald’s around the corner, both easy walking distance. A bit further are a couple of sit-down restaurants and a very good pizzeria. There are more pizzerias here than Starbucks in Seattle! We would stay there again. The lack of amenities isn’t important to us.

The shower in room 201 was not pleasant at all. The water pours out and crates a very dangerous situation on the bathroom tile. We made it known but it was like everyone knew the problem could not be fixed. Very dangerous and very unpleasant stay in room 201. We had a total of three rooms. Everything else was great. The food and staff at breakfast were great. Location was great. Shower made the stay for my wife and I in room 201 very unpleasant. The pitch of the shower causes all the water to gush out. There is also an approximate 1 1/12 gap with no plastic or rubber to stop the water from gushing out if the shower. The receptionist knew what the problem was because she said it was missing the bottom plastic piece. That was the second receptionist we told. We had a search for towels in the closets at night and use the robes to stop the water from coming out of the shower because there was so much water coming out. Had to shut off water, put on soap and then turn water back on. Very unpleasant room 201. My adult children enjoyed their rooms. They enjoyed the breakfast and the location of the hotel. Room 201 really upset my wife. There is no way hotel management cannot know about this problem with the shower in room 201. Extremely dangerous.

Such a beautiful and quiet property. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious and we enjoyed the spa as well!

All the staff were amazing and helpful! The kitchen staff for breakfast catered for all out needs. The spa was excellent too and I’d highly recommended this hotel to anyone. It’s in a Great location with good links to the airport and tourist spots across the city.
