Very centrally located. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Only issue was you could smell the drains in room 203. They tried to get rid of the smell but couldn’t. Avoid this room and you will be fine.

Villa Cora was an interesting and pleasant stay with a nice pool, lovely staff, and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our stay but likely will not return. Strengths: - Well-kept stately villa and grounds - Attractive, beautifully-designed room and indoor common areas - Helpful, kind, and capable staff pre-arrival and during our stay - A lovely pool environment, perfect for staying cool and relaxing in summer - Excellent fresh lunch at the poolside restaurant Le Bistrot - A general sense of peace and calmness - Good shuttle service when available Areas of Improvement: - Value: at an average €1,065 / night (incl. tax), it was too expensive for what it offered - Air conditioning was weak and the room was hot throughout our stay - Housekeeping was inconsistent - Too many expensive extras - Weak service at the pool - The strange shuttle hours of 9:30 - 12:30 and 4:30 - 8:30 left gaps and required us to take many expensive taxis - Very little storage space in the small Classic Room - Rooftop bar and basement speakeasy were both closed despite being advertised on the hotel website I debated whether to rate this property 3 or 4 out of 5, and the quality of staff broke the tie for me. Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff and well situated in the city.

The description says “In the heart of Lucca's historic center.” It is not but about a 15-20 minute walk from the start of the walled city. Not too far from the train. Location is ok but nothing charming about it. The front desk staff were very pleasant. The room could have had stronger air con but it was ok despite the 92 degree weather. The Wi-fi was incredibly slow. The room and bathroom are very small. Could have used more towels. The bed is very hard so not too comfortable. The hotel was ok but nothing special.

Very good location. Clean hotel. Our ac was broken but they handled us a new room inmediately. The hotel is confortable and size of the rooms are decent. Bigger than average in the area.

Wonderful property, amazing hosts. 20 minutes outside of Florence center-easy to get a taxi. My family loved everything about our stay here!

Where as we enjoyed our time here we did have a bit of an issue with our room temperature. We asked for it to be lowered as it was 81 degrees. We found out, after a very uncomfortable night and requesting 2 more times, that the AC was not working. As an aside: we could not open a window as our room was on the 1st floor and only had doors to a common area. We were moved to a new room. Other than that- the staff was lovely the pools and Spa are great. Location is wonderful with close proximity to the beach and some wonderful restaurants serving delicious seafood.

Great ubication

Hotel was in a great location and we enjoyed that it was more unique due to being in an older building. The room was actually very big so plenty of space for our family of 4. Only odd thing was that there was not much furniture and it would have been convenient to have one shelf or dresser to put some stuff in or on. We had to instead use our suitcases on the floor to get our stuff in and out each day.
