"What a view from our patio! The valley is so peaceful and the gardens are lovely. This hotel is very close to the Saturnia natural springs which we went to every day. All the employees are very friendly and welcoming. It was a perfect stay. "

"The inn is one of many in the countryside of southern Tuscany. It was a beautiful property and beautiful room. The service however was quite poor. We requested two glasses of ice from the ice maker and were told very emphatically "No!". I requested coffee or tea for the electric water pot in our room, and was very begrudgingly provided tea. It became uncomfortable to interact with the staff."

"Absolutely horrible. One of the worst places I've ever stayed at. From the lack of promised amenities (Wi-Fi, laundry, full kitchen) Called 4 different numbers to try to get ahold of the host, to no avail. Had to contact VRBO support for them to finally call from a DIFFERENT number listed (after trying the 4 that were)We had to wait for the the hosts, for over an hour after our check in time in 100 degree weather. After finally getting checked in at 1900, (when check in was at 1730) we went to cook dinner and there were rodents and droppings everywhere. Maddelea should be shameful for this hovel.The house was separated apartments as well, not the full house as the listing makes it seem. Absolutely horrendous experience."
