The Baron Hotel is by no means a 5 star hotel experience, nor does it claim to be. Though it is old and a bit outdated carpet/decor-wise, it is very clean, the staff is always kind and helpful, and everything is in great working order. The price is right, it’s in a beautiful neighborhood near fantastic dining options and old architecture. I love staying here every time I’m in DC because it’s a great affordable option! Will be back!

Clean and convenient. Majority of staff (save one at the front) were pleasant and helpful. Aside from key swipe to get into my room never working, all was fine. And yes, the AC worked, which was crucial, given the temp was ~100 degrees F most of my visit!
