Staff were delightful (thank you Lilian for arranging so much our trip!), food delicious (thank you chef Bukari!) including breakfasts and dinners overlooking the beach and ocean. Amazing location with nice pool and in the right area for enjoying the ocean while exploring Mombasa. Unfortunately, however, the owners have neglected the building has been very neglected with the lovely fountains without water, everything dusty, towels with holes, etc. Lack of cleanliness / clearing food causes flies in the dining area. It's a real shame because this is a gem of a place. The owners need to give it the love that their staff do. Nancy and the lady who checked us- I apologize that l can't recall your name- you were awesome!!!!! My favorite thing about your spot is the swimming pool. I am a fan and l enjoyed it completely and totally. I was not a fan of the outside meal locations: the food was not always hot/warm by the time one sat down to eat it. The lay out of the locations is something else that l was not a fan of, none of them were flat or concrete, lighting was not awesome- when we were there Kenya Power did their thing, then the extension cords that were everywhere as one walked to get their meal- l get it was about adding variety, at the same time l found it risky and dangerous. (344 reviews) Room clean, staff friendly, for all inclusive a lot of the items were missing or permanently off (mango Thai sticky rice, several wine options, some drinks, etc.) which was frustrating because it left you with limited options. Thai restaurant was great, cocktails for all inclusive were mostly good, the buffet dinner was not our favorite. The Italian restaurant had good steak and food. Beach has some beach boys that do aggressively follow you. We didn’t go to beach much because of this. For the pools, people come out early and “reserve” spots and then don’t come to the pool until hours later. This needs to be banned by management as it is entirely entitled and rude. Room was very large and amenities were nice. Bed was very firm and my husband was in pain every morning. We would come back. Overall it was a good experience. They give Kenyan resident rates which is nice but they’re almost the same price as Expedia. (152 reviews) We stayed in the Residences 2Bd it was amazing. The pool didn't heat up, but the kids enjoyed it. Breakfast was 1-star, too many flies, they had nets, but people were not covering the food back up. They need to set up fans and place them over the food to prevent the flies. The acrobat show was great. The beach was good, we had someone walk us across the lowtide (I had 3 small kids for $15). We visited the main pool, and the kids enjoyed it. The lunch bar sold great food. We ate lunch off the resort daily, best food was at the Salty Squid. We attempted to eat at Nomad but they wanted us to pay an entrance at the gate (I didn't like it). Room service: The laundry service was good. Room Service was quick and hot. It's a limited menu, pizza was not good. We moved to building 400, after 4 days for one night, no complaints.
