Refshaleøen Beach Holidays

We stayed three nights there. Everything about this place was wonderful. However, on Saturday they have “live music” on the top floor of the building. We asked for a quiet room and they gave us one that was maximally away from the noise, but we could still hear the beat until 2 am on Sunday morning. It was pure torture. We couldn’t sleep and then had trouble sleeping for hours afterward. We basically didn’t sleep that night. So if your stay is on a Saturday, and you want to use your room to sleep and not to just store your luggage, look for a room elsewhere. Otherwise, the place IS quiet and nice.

Overordnet var alt udemærket og god morgenmad samt høfligt personale. Dog var mit værelset en smule medtaget. Det kunne godt bruge en opgradering. Tæpperne var ikke helt rene og de var plettede. Døren til badeværelset var også ret dårlig stand og der var mange revner osv. omkring ved vægge og lister. Ellers en fin oplevelse 👍

Seemed like our room was maybe needing some renovations, the beam in the bathroom had water damage and the shower door could not seal any water on the side. Spa and pool were great, the ambience was perfect. However, they need to fix the handles on the sauna and make the door easier to open. The restaurant was okay, it was a little hard to understand how it worked/see the menu because on the webpage and board menu everything was in Swedish and the links to some things on the website were either only in Swedish or broken. If you ask, the staff is super super friendly and accommodating and the will 100% help if you have questions. A small supermarket and the beach is all within walking distance, all in all a super relaxing spot to go to for some wellness recharging.

This is a hard review to write because there was a lot about the stay that was great. The breakfast was phenomenal (but insanely overpriced), the pool was lovely, and the hotel itself is cute. All of the staff except the manager (see below) were kind and attentive in every way. The room itself was charming but despite having air conditioning, there was virtually zero air flow in the room. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the hotel manager and the poor customer service/complete lack of human empathy I experienced from him. I was in Amsterdam two nights before my reservation and I was mugged. I called the hotel to see if they could help me modify my reservation because I wasn’t going to be able to make it to Copenhagen without a wallet, and they were incredibly rude and just kept reiterating the no change/no cancellation policy. It was kind of shocking to be honest. It put a very bad taste in my mouth, which is unfortunate because the hotel was lovely otherwise.
